    Some times I feel that way, but then other times you see the guy go out and trade for a legit #1 QB. He ignores the offensive line in the draft, then he spends 2 #1 picks in 4 years on linemen. He got arrogant on things like the Bazuin and Wolfe picks, thinking he could overspend on his own diamonds in the rough. But then he also went out and got Peppers when his pass rush picks weren't panning out. Cutler fell into his lap. Peppers was a great fit (and on defense where Angelo seems to have some intelligence). But O-line only becomes important when he has no other choice. If he had been drafting O-lineman the way he drafts safeties, you'd think we wouldn't be in this situation. Also, he apparently cant judge a safety from a hole in the ground with his recent picks.

    my biggest issue with Angelo is his arrogance (or ignorance) with certain positions. At some point, you have to come to the conclusion that you just don't get it, so bring in someone who does. I guess that was the reason behind Tice, but how much does Tice get a voice in the draft picks? How much would he know?

    the thing is, its been like this for over a year now. EVERY game he's under siege. Its not like the Lions D line (albeit very good) suddenly showed the weaknesses in our o-line

    was it Harris or Briggs that fucked up the Best 88 yrdr? The announcers were acting like it was Briggs, but Harris was no where to be seen. I think he ran into the right side, and got swallowed up

    kill him I dont doubt Cutler needs to work on fundamentals,but when you're on pace for 60 sacks a year, your fight for survival kind of kicks all that training in the ass

    I think you mean Young instead of Marino. Steve Young's probably the worst football analyst out there. I did. I get the two mixed up, to me they look alike.

    Dilfer, Young and some other guy (Jawoski maybe, didnt look like him)were just discussing Cutler. Dilfer made some comment that Angelo has said Jay"..holds onto the ball too long". Dilfer basically pointed out how incredibly stupid that comment was, as Cutler is constantly running for his life. He also hammered Angelo on not getting Cutler support. Young took Cutler to task on not working on his footwork enough, questioning his "passion". Dilfer took offense to that, saying Cutler was fighting "...like a Warrior" and that setting his feet tonight would have gotten him killed. He also pointed out that no other QB in the league could have made the throws he had to make. The other dude agreed with him. Young thinks Cutler should be one f the top 2 QBs in the league, he just doesn't "put the necessary time in". idk. Hopefully, more people start to point out Angelo's ineptitude to the point where Ted Phillips finally wakes the [expletive] up and cans his ass.

    more then anything, tonight just emphasized how much this defense is aging. They've been getting blown up a lot recently, but tonight really hit home. they need a #1 OL, stud WR, and boatload of defensive depth not on the DL. get Hester out of the offense, its always been a stupid idea.

    I suppose its easier to tell Meriwheather "Dont let anyone get behind you" then it would to pull him up to the line and ask him to read the plays of a team he hasnt played, or QB the defense. I attribute most oh his lack of stellar play to being new to the cover 2. oh, and for being a B1G dropout.
