  1. injuries
  2. As much as I'm meh on Caldwell, I like hearing that yea, me too
  3. the bears have a rooster?
  4. "a Super Bowl Championship"? jesus George, I feel like I deserve like 10 of them
  5. I highly doubt Peyton ends up in Chicago for two reasons; 1) I thought NOLA and OMC were saying he wanted a break from coaching and 2) the compensation the Bears would have to send to NO via picks. We are thin on picks as it is. If I'm NO, I'd want the draft picks. Can they do it with just money?
  6. Jesus, who has the time to do this? well, with the undoubtedly plentiful support from viking fans everywhere via the venmo solicitation I'm sure its his full time job lol
  7. I underestimated George. I guess picking Ryan up at the airport helped seal the deal? I think it was the shoes. George McCaskey: Drip God
  8. I have a hard time imagining he's picked up each one of these guys, considering some were same day. I assumed a lot of these were zoom interviews, at least for the first round, and that in person things were for the 2nd round. Yeah, all 1st round interviews were via Zoom. 2nd round in person. Is Poles the first round 2? IDK if Eberflus went his 2nd time or not, or if they are waiting to do in person until they get a GM. judging by his attire, no way Geo uses Zoom...hes a straight up WebEx kind of guy
  9. I think its just the way McCaskey runs the entire team; its a family business so he personally picks Poles up. It can be seen as rubish but honestly I really dont mind Geo doing it. Welcome to Chicago, Ryan
  10. that dude drives a Chrysler Town and Country mini van.
  11. no this is wrong. we WANT minnesota to hire quinn please god please (whatever, I'll be extremely surprised, bewildered albeit exuberant if Quinn came to Chicago and it was the right choice...but I'll live)
  12. 10 mn OT, deal with the coinflip the way mentioned above (1st quarter who received receives, if it goes to 2OT the half time team who received receives, etc). 1 OT for reg season and after that ends in a tie, play until someone ends an OT on top in the postseason. I really hate the gimmicks, the ("you win if you score a TD, but not a FG" kind of crap we have now, etc). Just play it out. Yesterday Mahomes and Allen might have thrown for 7 TD ea if you let them go at it.
  13. What about Denver? delusional
  14. I haven't lived in an area that reports on chicago-based stuff in nearly 3 decades, but the internet exists so it's readily available. I apologize jersey, I had no idea they were approaching it this way and didn't realize it would bother you so much that I didn't do the proper independent research. I mean, part of the reason I post here is to get the links you all post from reports back in Chicago to help educate me on these things - but maybe that's a horrible reason
  15. is that the entire hiring committee? I ddin't realize they had more then just Geo and Ted, outside of the consultant group how are you this angry about how they are doing this without knowing how they are doing this? It's been widely reported and discussed that the committee includes those specific people. well, first of all I'm not angry, just bored with the search. second of all, where I live very little about the upper Midwest/Chicago in general gets reported, much less the Bears specifically. If it was posted here then I either missed it or failed to pile linked tweets to find it. Like, I had to google "Tanesha Bears" to find out they had this larger committee, and I only saw her name in wrigleys post

  17. at this point my process would go do you like justin fields? yes - cool. no - eliminated will you hire Daboll? yes - cool. no eliminated should get there pretty quickly Seems like a bad process tbh probably, but at this point who cares
  18. Based on current names I agree. Ireland was a big one I didn't want but haven't heard much there. Part of that is its too hard to judge GMs. All first timers, but all seem reasonable so let's roll the damn dice. at this point my process would go do you like justin fields? yes - cool. no - eliminated will you hire Daboll? yes - cool. no eliminated should get there pretty quickly
  19. yes, all of this
  20. yes, he should stay a DC
  21. I'm not a fan of any of those names but of them I like Caldwell the most. Definitely not exciting but has an offensive background, is a players coach, and has led good offenses, though he seems to be a low ceiling guy based on his tenures with the Colts and Lions. yuk. Id love to be proven wrong, but I'm just not sold
  22. Jim Caldwell? seriously?
  23. this is horsefeathering terrible
  24. they are better then what the NFL has
