  1. Cubs look for a hope creating three straight. http://www.homeruncards.com/imagesrc/carlos-zambrano-tt.jpg CARLOS ZAMBRANO (2-1, 4.64 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, 33 INN, 30 SO's) vs http://www.blogcdn.com/www.fanhouse.com/media/2007/04/ricky-nolasco-220.jpg Ricky Nolasco (1-2, 6.92 ERA, 1.69 WHIP, 26 INN, 22 SO's) Some Notes: - Theriot looks to have his first back-to-back-to-back homerun games of his career after having his first career back-to-back yesterday. - Theriot looks to set a new career high in homeruns in a month with three. - Theriot looks to tie his career high in homeruns in a season with three. - Theriot looks to take over team RBI lead sitting two back of Fukudome. - Theriot looks to show off his new found g-g-g-gritty POWER!
  2. Anyone else find it ridiculous no one can even last sparring with Pac? He gets like 2-3 minutes of sparring before the is knocked out/can't breathe.
  3. I've watched the episodes and it made me wish I had the money to buy the fight but I don't.
  4. How the heck did you find all this. Seems like ti would take forever.
  5. Thanks to whoever edited the title. I was dumb and look at 5/3 for some reason.
  6. Maybe I got the magic thread starting touch ... http://i338.photobucket.com/albums/n438/levintblack/th_Lilly.jpg TED LILLY (2-2, 3.80 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, 23.2 INN, 16 SO's) vs. http://tbn3.google.com/images?q=tbn:llc7nKUzlMOdOM:http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2229/2283864649_d9f8244463.jpg Anibal Sanchez (1-2, 4.13 ERA, 1.54 WHIP, 24 INN, 17 SO's) - Cubs look to win two in a row for first time in 11 games.
  7. Let's bat Theriot 3rd and drop Bradley to 9th.
  8. I'm assuming we would be up like 2-1, 3-1 and Lou doesn't want to turn it over to the bullpen because he knows they'll blow it so he keeps Harden in longer than he should.
  9. With the way our bullpen has been doing the last couple games I can see this being a game that if Harden is doing really well Lou will keep him in for as long as possible. Until he's at 120 pitches I don't see Lou pulling him unless he's not doing well.
  10. Sorry guys it was my fault we lost. I was supposed to start the game thread but was unable to. I jinxed us.
  11. For once I'm glad I could watch this game. Might not have a working TV if I had been watching.
  12. Time to waste another pitching gem? At least we get to see Harden ... http://i338.photobucket.com/albums/n438/levintblack/th_Harden.jpg RICH HARDEN (2-1, 3.86 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, 21.0 INN, 35 SO's) v. http://www.extrainnings-margate.com/images/instructorgtaylor.jpg Graham Taylor (0-1, 9.82 ERA, 2.73 WHIP, 3.2 innings, 2 SO's) Some Notes: - Harden was 0-0 in two starts last year against Florida, with a 1.69 ERA. He had 15 strikeouts in 10.2 innings. - Taylor is making his second career appearance and start in the majors. He lost his first outing giving up 4 runs in 3.2 innings and walking 6. - Cubs won season series 4-3 last season with all games played in second half. - Marlins have won three straight after a 7-game losing streak. - Cubs have lost 7 of 9 including the last two. - Milton Bradley looks to extend his hitting streak to a season high two games.
  13. I go with tipping pitches for a simple reason. While I hate both one makes you better and helps your team while the other betrays your entire team and makes it harder for your team to win.
  14. ESPN actually raises a good question. Which is worse: Performance Enhancing Drugs or Tipping pitches to opponents?
  15. Yeah sorry I've been in class, at work or editing video for the last 15 hours straight. Just got home and was going to post the game thread but thankfully you took care of it for me. I'll post the game thread for Friday tomorrow. Now for some much needed sleep.
  16. Too early to know what the 49ers will do. They will probably trade down from the No. 1 pick supplied by Carolina. It just costs too much money for the No. 1 pick. You also never know who they might get with their own first round pick at No. 32.
  17. Thats fine and cool. What kind of commerical would you make, if given the chance? A really good one.
  18. I take this as one of Lou's ploys to motivate Soto. Soto is in a slump and threatening his playing time is the way Lou is choosing to try and snap him out of it.
  19. That would be one of those commercials that would make me want to throw my shoe at the TV every time it came on. Having a player gallop on a horse just sounds and would definitely look really stupid. That is only multiplied by the fact Edmonds has been a very slow runner for a decade now and most of his diving catches from 2002 on are only occurring because he doesn't have the speed a normal CF does.
  20. That's what everyboyd says when they get caught. They didn't know it was banned, they didn't read the label, they didn't know what they were taking, their doctor/trainer/teammate gave it to them, whatever. That is true but how many of them filed a lawsuit?
  21. We don't need Edmonds to play 1B when we have Hoff and Fox behind or perhaps soon ahead of Lee.
  22. how do you decide which teams to root for? cubs, rockets and 49ers??? Cubs I didn't like the Cards and when the '98 race broke out I took the rival. My dad is a Cardinals fan. Rockets because Barkley is my all-time favorite player and followed him to Houston. 49ers because in 3rd grade I switched schools and the new school I went to was full of 49er fans. I would realize 5 years later that it was because I switched schools in February right after the 49ers last won a Super Bowl. Of the three the 49ers are easily my favorite team.
  23. Well with the 49ers having just one more pick I got to say I'm as happy as I could be. Crabtree - Best player in the draft Coffee - Allows us to have a really dominant run game with him and Gore McKillop - Big East Player of Year that tested much faster and more athletic than expected Davis - As a soon to be a BSU grad this is probably the happiest I have ever been after a pick Roscoe - This is only pick I have a problem with. We have Vernon Davis and Delanie Walker why draft a TE? Taylor - A FS to give us more depth and has the athletic ability to perhaps start someday
  24. I'm really really hating this 49ers-Panthers trade right now. We could have had Everette Brown with our second round pick which is probably a better prospect then whatever we get with the Panthers pick next year. Plus we gave up our fourth rounder. So here I sit bored waiting till the fifth round.
