    That's just manny being manny :roll: thought for a long time that as good as he is in most clubhouses his antics would hurt the team (I think they have worked in Boston though because the clubhouse is one of the few that it works in).

    What makes it funny back in the locker room is you do it to the guys face. Its not really funny when you call a teammate gay and the guys not there to be made fun of. Its also not funny when it is brought up or said 10 times a day which is about the rate this board has been producing. Not much the mods can do if all there is is hollow threats. Either start suspending or just accept some people never mature past the age of 5.

    You should have e-mailed Hurdle with those instructions instead of posting it on a message board. :DI'm happy he went in and how he performed. And i'm double happy he didn't come out for a second inning, perhaps we can hire Hurdle to manage the Cubs? He didn't look lights-out-beginning-of-the-year Carlos, but he certainly looked awesome Unwarranted jabs at Piniella are getting old. Marmol has pitched more than an inning in one outing six times in 49 appearances this season. Compare that to Heath Bell's 7 in 46 or gasp the Rockies setup man who has 7 in 40 appearances.

    Meh k's are nice but leading the league in them indicates low pitch efficiency. I'm much happier that we're cutting down on our walks allowed than that we're striking guys out at a league-leading pace. well of course but we have a a seven year streak to continue (is that the record?).

    Something just occurred to me ... we are I think 34 strikeouts behind leading the league and with getting Harden we should be able to continue the streak of leading the league in that stat dating back to 2001. Not a big deal but worth noting.

    I think Uggla is made for this type of thing. He has such great raw power. His weakness has been picking up what the pitch is but that no problem here.

    Got any data to back up your claim? He heard through a friend that a couple of scouts think Soriano as a leadoff hitter isn't good.
