  1. That's bad but Marshawn Lynch has forever ruined this type of thing for me. His is so bad nothing else compares. http://l.yimg.com/a/i/us/sp/v/nfl/players_l/20080904/8266.jpg?x=65&y=85&xc=1&yc=1&wc=164&hc=215&q=100&sig=UI3CgIkckiNLOtl8XGdOJA--
  2. Don't know if this is the one but a simple google search of Wrigley Field seat view came up with this ... http://www.seatdata.com/html/mlb_cubs/pick_section_mlb_cubs.htm
  3. I'm all for Brad Snyder making the team but that's because he went to Ball State.

  5. No, it's not. He was with this team for FOUR YEARS. Two of which, as pointed out above, he was "league average." The Cubs are retiring his number completely based on what he did with another team, and that's stupid. I mean, at the end of the day, I like maddux, and I wont have a problem with his name flying above Wrigley. But when it comes down to it, that number should belong to Fergie. << I would say winning a Cy Young as a Cub and spending a decade has a Cub make it so Maddux has to be included.
  6. Just getting in helps in recruiting and if you happen to pull off a couple upsets you become one of the stories of the tournament thus getting free national advertisement for the entire school.
  7. The only numbers to be retired twice by the same team are 5 of the Cincinnati Reds, 8 of the New York Yankees, 10 of the Montreal Expos, and 42 of the St. Louis Cardinals. The Yankees retired the number 8 in 1972 for Bill Dickey and Yogi Berra, both catchers. Berra took number 8 in 1948 after Dickey stopped playing but before he was a coach. The Cardinals have retired number 42 for both Bruce Sutter and Jackie Robinson. Number 10 was retired by the Expos for Andre Dawson and Rusty Staub. After catcher Willard Hershberger of the Reds committed suicide during the season of 1940, the team decided pay tribute to him by retiring his number '5'. It was later 'unretired' in 1942. It is currently retired for Johnny Bench. Did you text that new answer company for the answer?
  8. Nope they play the Adolescent Boilers in the Rd. 2.
  9. you need another group D guy blah blah blah (edited above post)
  10. Sweet. No. 21 should be next.
  11. Well at least two people have made it clear they will pick him in this round so he wouldn't be there at 12.
  12. Another one of my exempt players from last year's team gone. :bye: Exactly how I feel about Josh Johnson. Well he isn't exempt anymore. And I knew who it was I was joking with the J.J. Putz.
  13. Group A: Ryan Howard Group B: Braun, Fielder Group C: Quentin, Pena, Soriano Group D: Bruce, Votto, Ortiz, Morneau, Soto Wildcard will be PM'ed as soon as I decide on one.
  14. OOOH..OOOH, I KNOW!!! =D> Yeah, he won't last past this round unfortunately.
  15. I would think at the very least the winner could get a free month of premium.
  16. For the record, I like your roster right now. Clint (Sox) and Slainte also have solid rosters. I have several young guys who I hope are progressing toward their respective primes, and if they do, I like what I have. If they don't, or if they regress, it looks like another long year for me. If I get the player I would have drafted rather than Josh Johnson then I'll be content as I would have probably taken Josh Johnson if he was still on the board in this next round. If it's another pitcher with the initials J.J., that's not happening. I know who Nick's taking first, as I've tried to get that pick from him, but he is asking for WAAAAAYYYYY too much. It's like he doesn't get that it's really about a 9th rounder. Initials aren't J.J. Off the top of my head I can't even think of who you are talking about.
  17. As will I. Come tournament time/bowl games I root for the Big Ten teams except never for IU. My dad told me one of the ESPN or CBS analysts during the bracket announcing said Purdue will come out of the West and make the Final Four. Anyone see that? I didn't and want to know who it was.
  18. I offered Laura to help again, and she said she's on the fence about it. We may have to do it without physical prizes this year.... if it comes down to doing it or not doing it I will help out.
  19. We doing this again? I want to improve upon my 4th place finish.
  20. For the record, I like your roster right now. Clint (Sox) and Slainte also have solid rosters. 21. UCONN isn't the same team due to injuries. I don't see them getting past the sweet sixteen. I think they lose to either Washington or Purdue.
  22. My final four: Pitt UNC Louisville Missouri I was tempted to pick Villanova to upset Pitt but I truly think Pitt has what it takes to win it all.
  23. If all top seeds don't get home games than none do. UNC and Duke getting to play in North Carolina is a joke.
  24. They really need to do something about high seeds getting essentially home games. Why can't four teams in Portland be switched with the 4 teams in Boise or Phily so Washington doesn't get a huge advantage? Why the heck does UNC get to play in North Carolina to start? That is complete crap. Same goes for Duke getting to start in North Carolina. It's easy to fix so why not do it? Oh and I wish I lived in Portland cause both Illinois and Purdue begin play out there.
  25. That was one of the weirdest and most drawn out finishes I have ever seen to a game. The refs made 4 or 5 completely awful calls in the final 24 seconds. Two fantom fouls, no traveling call, 5 seconds call ... etc. I sure as heck hope they are a tourny reffing crew.
