The biggest showdowns between Dusty Baker teams and the Cardinals were the '02 playoffs. (Dusty won), the '03 stretch run (Dusty won), and now this year. What do you like about it for the Brewers? Because we just traded for a solid bench player for next year with a career OBP of .367 for basically nothing.

Edmonds on to another NL Central team. I like this trade for the Brewers. He has a career OBP of .367. Solid 4th OF off the bench for basically nothing.

MLB trade rumors said the Marlins basically laughed at a team (Red Sox I think) when they called to check on his availability at the trade deadline. If by some chance he became available, it'd probably be for a massive amount. I think the Rangers offered their top 3 prospects+ and the Marlins declined.

I know this is a Cub board. But really? You really think there are only 4 teams this year that have at least 2 pitchers this year that are better then Randy Wells? I can think of 5 more just at the top of my head. Sort by xFIP Knock yourself out. Im a big saber guy so that did impress me. But that also says Francisco Liriano is the best pitcher in baseball.

Can't rely on this guy. He's good when he's not hurt, but the guy is made out of glass. Yeah really frustrating. He is terrible against the pass but he is elite against the run. Looks like Morgan Burnett will get alot more time. Which I can't say is a bad thing, really like Burnett.
