  1. I agree with some of that. The Cubs right now are the best team in the NL Central. This is a BAD divison. And the Cubs have played 27 of their first 44 at home. I don't see the Pirates or Reds being a threat. I think the Cards are done being magical. So its basically between the Brewers, Astros and Cubs. If the Astros can some how get enough pitching they could compete and I want to say the Brewers will be there at the end. However I think the Cubs are the best team in the NL Central and if I had to bet I would put my money on them right now. I wouldn't say the Cubs are the most complete team in the league however. Maybe im saying this because we just got done playing Boston but after going there its like a whole differnt animal over there. The Red Sox line up from top to bottom is so damn good. And I also like Arizona a little more then the Cubs right now (and yes I know you guys swept them earlier). But Webb(best pitcher in baseball in my opinion),Haren,Johnson,Scherzer,Owings and Davis when he comes back it sick. But the Cubs look like they are starting to click. Soriano is white hot right now, Lilly looks like he is coming back to 07' form. Zambrano looks like he is finally putting it together for more then a couple starts. Marmol is sick. Derrek Lee just needs to start hitting again (even tho you don't need him right now it seems). I think you guys do have a black hole in center tho, Edmonds and Johnson really don't excite me if im a Cubs fan so maybe if you guys do win the divison you might want to let the Brewers or Astros hang around for a while so your GM will get a new CF at the deadline? Anyways if the Brewers want to keep playing crapy and decide they want to play for 2009 insead of 2008 good luck the rest of the year.
  2. We are playing very bad right now. Its pretty depressing. 2/5th of our rotation is out for the year and we all know Sheets will be hurt sooner or later. I still love Braun tho, you guys can hate on him all you want but the guy just "gets it". Hall is a platoon player at best. Prince is having a little hissy fit about his contract and I think its showing by his performance. Riske just went down which sucks alot. We are a mess right now and we had to play in Boston. We are playing like crap but I don't think we are a last place team... (please god.. no.)
  3. I will be going to Wrigley for the 1st time in my life on Aug. 9th. Im pretty excited.
  4. Im extremely happy with this. Im glad they got it done, and I love that our owner is spending money. Prince won't be a Brewer past 2009 most likley. And LaPorta will take over at 1st.
  5. I wish I could...and dag nabbit I'm so drunmk right noew. So they are 3-0, your drunk and one of the games you go Tony Romo is doing the stretch. Wow, lucky guy
  6. Vance, Have the Cubs lost since you have been in Wrigley? You might never want to leave..
  7. Had to try it! As a brewer fan, I officaly feel dirty doing it. IT WAS WORTH IT!
  8. And also does not help that they play in the same divison as the Indians, Tigers and Twins. (I know I know, they suck right now)
  9. Dude, Gagne is still good guys. I have been saying this all year. I have been defending him all year. Until he does somethign really bad, I will still defend him Ok back to reality. I :banghead: Hate :banghead: My :banghead: Life GAGNE BLOWS
  10. That Ned Yost sure is a smart one
  11. So how did it go? Im going to wrigley for my first time in Aug. I am excited.
  12. I had to post this, the Reds/Mets game was PPD. But this was the Reds schedule line up. Cincinnati J. Hairston Jr. 2b R. Freel rf C. Patterson cf J. Votto 1b E. Encarnacion A. Dunn lf J. Keppinger ss P. Bako c M. Belisle p
  13. Or should I saw the 2008 St. Louis Cardinals, seriously I think Cubs and Brewers fans need to bow down to their greatness. :banghead:
  14. Yeah, so the next time you think about writing about how we get all the breaks, think about how we had that and Mark Prior, who was better, and they both got hurt. You really won't let that go will you? I never said you guys are catching all the breaks. And if I did I explained what I meant. My god let it go. It's all in fun, but it is depressing to think about what great pitching we had. Especially when we have the rotation we have now. Ok I thought you were being serious about everything. MY BAD!. But yeah, I think 2003 proved if Wood and Prior would of stayed healthy what could of been.
  15. Yeah, so the next time you think about writing about how we get all the breaks, think about how we had that and Mark Prior, who was better, and they both got hurt. 16. Wow, I never watched that live or seen the highlights of every K. But he looked so nasty in that. Some of his pitches just.. my god.
  17. +1 I really hope the Cubs or Brewers win the divison. Just for the embarrassment factor of the Cards winning it.
  18. They have a Monday night game every week and I believe the Sawx or Yanks have been in all of them. Well DUDE its the YANKS AND THE SAWX. Does anything else matter..?
