  1. That is an awesome, awesome collection you got there. Not just Sandberg, but Cubs stuff as well. What site do you trade on? I trade on http://www.sportscardforum.com under tkenm356. Sweet cards, man
  2. I bet most black men are very offended that they're stereotyped as being large in the private area. Why are you so racist? j/k, I was gonna post the same thing. Which means...
  3. Cubs.com says Alex Cintron is hitting .300 with an OBP of .286. How does that work? If you reach base because of errors without any walks does it cause this to happen? I've never seen that before
  4. I just crapped a cow. My ESPN MVP alert just came on my phone and one of the alerts was a couple days old and it said "Cubs sign Patterson and Hairston". Clearly a mistake. I knew about this before hand but seeing it as an ESPN alert scared the crap out of me
  5. It's good to finally see my school (South Alabama) get some good recognition across the many analyst sites and such. If anyone out there is rooting for them in any way, you rock
  6. I ouldn't neccesarily say that. The bottom half could be decent, assuming a proper lineup of... Soriano Fukudome Lee Ramirez DeRosa Soto Pie/Theriot Teriot/Pie The bottom half ain't too shabby for a bottom half. DeRosa's got good OBP skills, Soto has massive potential to be very productive, and Pie has unfilled potential to perform as well. Theriot, well. Meh. I don't think the lineup is all that bad top to bottom
  7. Laser arm surgery? think about it he'd be like mega man Or one of his crappier foes, Airmail Man. Lazy-Groundball-To-The-Pitcher Man
  8. I'm sure this has been asked like 14 times in the entirity of this thread but I'll be damned if I'm looking for it. Is this the longest thread ever to be posted on NSBB? Just curious.
  9. Well at least it doesn't appear to be serious, so I guess that's good. Twisted Testicle? Ouch. The Jose Acensio injury is choice, though. McLovin, represent!
  10. If anything he'd be a decent power bat off the bench. I wouldn't mind it for the right price
  11. I always liked Juan Gone. I'm willing to bet he's still got plenty of pop left in the tank, it's just a matter of his body not falling apart
  12. I don't know. Tuffy Rhodes is a pretty cool name
  13. if he were to be traded which would people prefer... 1) Try and trade a bad contract for bad contract 2) Trade him without eating salary for a nobody to dump his salary 3) Trade him and eat some of his salary to get somewhat of a return on him Oh, and which pitcher would you rather have with the following career line... Pitcher 1: 68-61 4.56ERA 1.42WHIP 96ERA+ 3yrs/$21m Pitcher 2: 55-46 4.31ERA 1.36WHIP 102ERA+ 4yrs/$48m It's a trick question, the answer is neither because they both suck at those prices, but I did this to point out that equally crappy pitchers are making a lot more money than Jason Marquis is, so his contract should look like a blessing to some teams
  14. Hopefully that will help him see just how much he sucks a lot quicker than usual
  15. Definately the work of a flamer... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1hl3GVYPpU
  16. Crap. Had no idea this happened in the last week or two. This is why I put "But that's what I think" in my signature. Like a disclaimer if you think I'm a moron and attacking you when I'm not, even though I'm more than likely a moron one way or the other. Although I did notice NCCubFan called me out on Page 5 about my cereal joke. You wanna go, buddy? Yew wah-nah Goh?
  17. I think he should quit baseball and convert to standup, it's clearly the logical step. Seriously though, that's awesome
  18. I think what the article was insinuating was that Dempster hasn't had a secure spot as a starting pitcher in a rotation since 2003, but I could be wrong
  19. maybe if he steals a lot of bases Jay-Z throw him in one of his songs
  20. He and Carlos Lee kinda look alike now
  21. Am I the only one who thinks he roided?
  22. O'Dowd: Well, Neifi, just sign right here on the dotted line and you're a Rockie once more! Neifi: Yes. Before I sign, would you like one of my many steroid shakes I've been drinking every day since my third suspension? O'Dowd: Deal's off Neifi: NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
  23. I own a blue Ramirez jersey. I like it very much, about as much as I like the actual blue jersey's. 'Tis why I got it in the first place. I give it a
  24. There you go...we have a lead off hitter now... Also, that line-up isn't scaring me much. Is something wrong with me? No, not really, although if some of their power hitters can stay healthy (Dye, Thome), they'll have a pretty powerful middle of the order in Swisher, Konerko, Thome, and Dye. Actually, if they're healthy and return to normal (Dye and his 2006 ability) that's probably one of the best group of 4 power hitters on any team in the majors, all of whom could smack 30+ HR and have an OBP of .370 or higher. That's kinda scary. However the rest of their lineup is bleh
