  1. Are you guys really saying Kinsler is equal in value to Ted Lilly? Really? I mean... really? Really.
  2. You know, seriously... I always wondered if baseball players played fantasy baseball.
  3. They should do that. That guy is obliterating the minors. If you're gonna put some sketchy guys in there and hope for the best, what difference would it make by calling up someone who has a 1.225 OPS at the moment. If he doesn't succeed, how much different would that be from Pie/Montanez not succeeding. At least Reimold at this point has the most upside and the O's would know if he needs more time and they can send him back down. At this point it can't hurt to exhaust all the options, and Reimold at this point seems to be the right choice, IMO. That guy is a beast, and he's not getting any younger. He's 25, give him a shot. If it doesn't work, send him back
  4. Before his down year/injury last season, I believe he was one of the few players who increased several of his offensive stats each year since joining the league. If all went well he should've been a 20HR guy last year while batting .320 with a .360 OBP or so. But it didn't. Either way, he's definitely lost a lot of his power it seems. The wheels are back though Considering the fact he had a serious leg injury, hampering his speed, that cost him a productive season last year? I'm not an expert, but several sources predicted that he wouldn't have the speed to steal 50 bases again this year, but he appears to be as fast as he ever was, which is shocking considering how damaging that injury was to him last year
  5. STAIROYDZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. MLB is starting an investigation into the allegations Selena Roberts is claiming in her book, but she's not cooperating with officials. So she's putting out a book about how A-Rod is still a juicer, but won't help officials prove her allegation? Sounds like sensationalist hack journalism
  7. Unfortunately for one of my fantasy teams, I already had the other guy beaten in steals so it's all for naught for me, lol. I was already up 7-3 in the steal department. I'll take it, though. Crawford has been on a tear. Stealing bases like he did years ago. Guess that leg injury isn't a big deal at all.
  8. I wouldn't say it was a terrible signing so much as it was a terrible contreact. Perez has been an adequate pitcher for the Mets over the last two seasons. Not good, but definitely a serviceable 4/5 guy. That contract is terrible though. What is it, $12M a year? Ouch. He's worth like $5-$8 mil a season, somewhere in there. Boras fleeced the Mets on that one
  9. That doesn't sit well for my Hacking Mass team. I need Pie to pick up those AB's!
  10. I like Hart a lot more than Harang, but it wouldn't be the most nuts trade ever if he needs pitching and has OF to spare. Harang was pretty darn fantastic prior to last year. He's also been pretty darn fantastic this year at times. It's tough to gauge whether or not he's back to his old ways or still trying to break out of his crappy ways. Personally, if it's the former, I think he's worth more than Corey Hart. I would've considered the Maggs trade. Unless you need SB and he made the most sense. I just don't like Corey Hart as a fantasy player. Sure he'll hit 20HR and steal 20 bases, but it's sporadic. It's never enough consistently throughout the year to warrant starting him every day. Personally I would've considered the Maggs trade, but that's just me. He's not gonna hit .240 the rest of the year, and he's consistently put up a .300AVG or better (.298 in 06) 20+HR and 100+RBI the past three seasons. I guess what it boils down to is whether or not steals are your priority here. Steals are a priority. He actually declined Hart for Harang now, and is asking for Peavy instead. He's pumping up Hart as a 30-30 guy. I just don't see that. 20-20 maybe, but not 30-30. I'm in the position of strength here, so I'm just going to wait this out. You should counter with your worst player and see how he likes it. Corey Hart has about as much chance as going 30-30 as I do
  11. Wow. That's a lot of free porn!

  13. I like how the joke of understating the fact that there's been accusations of A-Rod juicing since high school and even as a Yankee has caused the majority of this topic to be about his tipping habits. So... A-Rod juicing since he was in high school? Anyone buy it?
  14. I started a thread here: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=53233 But no one added anything :(
  15. Why burn an option year on him (not to mention add him to the 40 man roster). Was a joke. Hence the "Seriously though"
  16. I mentioned it in another thread, but thought I'd post it here because it is sad and pathetic how bad Soto has been this year. Geovany Soto, before tonight, was ranked 1,137th overall in Yahoo's fantasy rankings. He was down about 100 spots from yesterday when he was at about 1,025th. Matt Wieters, who has never seen a single MLB pitch or even sat on an MLB bench before, is ranked 924th. He's up 100 spots form yesterday when he was ranked 1,039th. So, Geo... knock it off
  17. Well, making smart decisions hasn't been the Cubs M.O. since the offseason started, so they might as well just call up Vitters. Seriously though, are the O's gonna bother playing Ty Wigginton when Mora comes back?
  18. What can I say? Predicting who hits home runs is the only thing I'm good at. And I totally passed up Kinsler and didn't see him. Would've added him instead of Ibanez. Oh well, Ibanez is still doing good. Though I may be dropping Iannetta for Kinsler soon. Iannetta is acting like a douche
  19. So is Greinke's scoreless inning streak still in tact because the run scored on him was unearned? Or do they consider that against the streak?
  20. Eric Chavez is a power hitter?
  21. I think I'll make my first transaction of the first half. I'd like to drop the now worthless David Ortiz and add Raul Ibanez, por favor
  22. As of earlier today, Matt Wieters, who has never had a major league AB, was ranked 19 spots behind Geovany Soto in Yahoo's fantasy rankings.... Matt Wieters is ranked 1049th So yes, please Soto... start hitting the damn ball
