  1. 0 hits in his last 22 AB. Ouch
  2. I remember when Davis was struggling in Texas and there were whispers he could be a buy low first base target to replace Derrek Lee. Not sure what he did to fix his mechanics in Baltimore, but it's safe to say it's working. I really like Davis, I hope he keeps it up. And I'm not just saying that because he's on my fantasy team 8-[
  3. Didn't know where else to ask this, but I haven't been keeping up with much of the extended farm system outside of the top guys... who has been the biggest surprises/made the biggest strides this year so far? I noticed Alcantara's power and BB% is looking really good so far compared to previous years, but haven't looked into too many other guys.
  4. You simply can't pitch to Miguel Cabrera http://i.imgur.com/Mk1ZnHn.gif
  5. Gotta wonder about Seattle's player development with the struggles of Ackley and Smoak. I had high hopes for Montero this season in my fantasy league. Such a blunder of a decision to stick with him. He performed admirably for a young catcher in a tough hitters park last year, I figured some development and the fences moving in would prime him for a breakout. Nope, he kinda sucks.

  7. Cincinnati Bearcats and their post-game interview shenanigans...
  8. Kevin Gausman getting called up

  10. B-R and FG disagree big time on that... http://i.imgur.com/rkGgbWy.png http://i.imgur.com/rWwgZZu.png
  11. TWTW, obviously... Also, Phil Coke on striking out Miguel Cabrera: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=k-GDPRQ7bos
  12. He's going 50-50!!! http://www.upscalehype.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/matt-kemp-tom-ford-dodgers6.jpg
  13. Rizzo's K in the 1st inning today ended his streak of 38 PA's without a strikeout. Also for fun, in case anyone didn't know, Rizzo is tied with Mark Trumbo for longest home run hit so far this season at 475 feet (video) according to Hit Tracker (Path)
  14. http://cdn.fangraphs.com/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Doubront_bonus.gif.opt_.gif
  15. Gerardo Parra has the highest WAR of any offensive player in the majors right now at 2.7. 1.3 of it is from his defense.
  16. Shawn Camp. The reliever you're looking for is Shawn Camp.
  17. In the "Well it's nice he's doing well now" category... Jason Bay has an .813 OPS through 28 games with Seattle (132 OPS+). Not a bad start for a guy who had a .536 OPS last season over 70 games
  18. No clue who that is or whats going on, but the dude beside her and the lady to her right's reaction is understatedly awesome. That's what's her name, ms. hunger games/mystique/bipolar oscar lady, during the oscars (before she won) doing a pre-scripted pre-planned camera shot of her in the audience. The others around her knew of the upcoming facetime aswell. And they are actors also, so. . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTKEDXNQAcc

  20. Uhhh... James Loney has a slash line of .371/.426/.533/.959 this year with a 167 OPS+. He has a 1.2 WAR. His WAR through 36 games this year is 2.2 WAR higher than his WAR all of last year. His WAR last year was -1.1
  21. Former Cubs catching prospect and current Oakland Athletics 3B Josh Donaldson has a 1.2 WAR. I always thought that if we were to really regret losing anyone over the Harden trade it'd be him, but I didn't actually think he'd turn out to be anything more than a league average player. Also, I don't regret trading any of those players for Rich Harden. Rich Harden was worth it.
  22. Fernando Tatis discovers MS Paint... http://www.insidestl.com/insideSTLcom/STLSports/STLCardinals/tabid/91/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/10438/Fernando-Tatis-Is-Good-at-MS-Paint.aspx
  23. The collective ERA of Travis Wood, Caros Villanueva, Scott Feldman, and Jeff Samardzija 2.74. Their ERA+ is 147. That's [expletive] incredible. Samardzija is barely over a 3.00 ERA. The others are under it. 4 out of the Cubs' 5 starting pitchers are basically putting up ace quality starts each time they go out there. Is there another rotation in baseball right now that is doing better than that combo? Also, James Russell has been so good his performance can't compute an ERA+ They have 4 guys with over 100 PA's OPS+'ing over 130 right now. Yet they're 13-20. Thanks Obama.
  24. If it ain't broke don't fix it!
  25. Holy crap, I didn't even realize he was doing so well. I have him on one of my fantasy teams and he was off to such a rough start the first two weeks I didn't even notice he turned it around so much. He's also currently on a 12-game hitting streak In other crazy numbers: Yu Darvish's K/9 right now is 14.2  He's struck out 10 or more batters 4 of his 7 starts and struck out 14 in two of them. He has 72 strikeouts in 45.2 innings of work.
