  1. One day off after a game that will likely end between midnight and 1AM on Thursday and then they fly back immediately and then ten more consecutive games without a break starting on Friday. What a horsefeathers schedule. At least they're at home the rest of the way.
  2. Holy horsefeathers that is awful
  3. Yeah I had updated my post to mention that. The .772 OPS was only that high because of the first game of that 19 game stretch when he went 4 for 5. If you just go by the previous 18 games instead of 19 games it's .651.
  4. Baez certainly isn't hitting at the level he's shown most of the year lately, but he still has an .800+ OPS over his last 19 games and in the month of September. He may not be hitting like an MVP lately, but he's not hurting the team by being an offensive black hole any means.
  5. Not-so-coincidentally: Carpenter during this 9-10 run: .772 OPS That's definitely a more apt correlation. He was carrying the entire offense with a few kick ins from others here and there and it made them look a lot better than they were. Martinez has gone ice cold as well. Also, the first game of this 19 game run Carpenter went 4 for 5. If you count the last 18 games, his OPS is .651. One single game adds 121 points of OPS to that total. And for even more arbitrary end points, for the month of September his OPS is .559 Good luck getting that MVP now, Carp.
  6. Not-so-coincidentally: Carpenter during this 9-10 run: .772 OPS
  7. I remember that happening. He was off the horsefeathering rails there at the end. I recall after Theo and Co. took over Theo sat down with him for dinner over the offseason to discuss the future and shortly thereafter I think they decided to move on from him, no?
  8. "He respected 90, what more can ya say?"
  9. What the god damn horsefeathers, Joe

  11. It'd be crazybuckets if they didn't postpone it for all the obvious reasons, but I mostly want it postponed so the Cubs can get a friggin' day off
  12. Randomly stumbled upon this and it was extremely fascinating. Kind of old though so it might've been posted a while back. Features cool technology and insight into pitcher injuries as well
  13. Well if he starts any more games this year then I'm burning my hbo subscription
  14. He runs like I did when I played little league. I was told I looked like I was running in slow motion.
  15. The Brewers are sitting here going "We need to get a starter to bolster our rotation!" while they've got Corbin Burnes in their bullpen.
  16. Krist has died, Krist has risen, Krist will dong again
  17. He's clearly just fed up with slumming it in Iowa and he wanted out.
  18. I liked it when you typo'd Braves as Braces because it looked like you were talking about some dweeby GM like an 80's teen movie villain.
  19. That seems a little less racist and a little more out of touch frat douche bro. It's a bad look either way.
  20. That is really good news, all things considered
  21. Bro it's Scoop City not scoop action. We take that very seriously. Our high School football team is playing Flavor Town next week and we don't want anyone making us look silly.
