  1. Sorry to bring the thread back on topic; I agree that this is actually a good thing for Sean, because it confirms that he is considered a starting pitcher, and because he can't get the appropriate work needed for that job in major league camp, he is being assigned to a position where he can. I would personnally prefer someone like Sean as insurance in Iowa to any other option at the moment.
  2. They may have them in four or five years. High draft picks can do that, you know.
  3. The Roberts press conference. :pig:
  4. Citing Cubs.com for analysis is never a good idea, IMHO As the "best reliever", Marmol should get the fireman role, as has already been stated by many on this site. BTW, the best reliever (statwise) so far this spring has been Wuertz: 6IP, 3H, 0BB, 11K looks good enough to me.
  5. Only because Micah is giving him no choice by doing an excellent job when given the opportunity.
  6. It's not listed on my favourite source for (live) scores: livescore.com
  7. That's subscription content, Raisin. Summary?
  8. :-k I wonder what could possibly be the reason.
  9. I want the microphones on if Crystal decides to argue a call by the umpire.
  10. Cedeno and Cintron sounds redundant, to me. They're the same guy. But I also realize Cedeno has no options. So, I guess I think one of them gets traded. Cedeno has no options, but Cintron signed a minor league deal, so he can be sent to Iowa (although he may prefer to be traded).
  11. Ditto. No matter how well he does in ST, it won't make any difference.
  12. It may have come to a point where the Cubs are willing to throw in the towel (no Mark Prior pun intended) and move on.
  13. Anderlecht got blown away by Bayern. Laurens is going to have a field day at school (full of Anderlecht fans, the stadium being only ten miles away) rubbing it in.
  14. Not sure what you meant by "ditto", but 6/04 is a FIFA official match day (as it's the last day of the 5/31- 6/04 window for a maximum of two official games) EPl ends on 5/11, and the FA cup final is on 5/17, so that first game shouldn't pose a problem either. Since 6/8 is also an official FIFA match day, you should have any player available you like for at least a week in June (release period for official games being 4/5 days)
  15. No need to ask - just remind me. 8-)
  16. Oh that Jimbo is SOOO slick!! Just another way of saying "Your move, Andy"
  17. I say let him have a go at it in ST.
  18. So basically Hendry will get extended by default, because there's noone around to make any other decision.
  19. quoted for emphasis. is that Sickels taking a swipe at the Cubs?
  20. Even when talking about Neifi Perez, that seems an odd way of doing things by the Rockies.
  21. Overpaying a player once is OK, as long as you learn from it Just one Cubs player mentioned : Lee is n°4 on the "Bottom five short-term hitters" I guess any injury will skew a short-term analysis.
