I like Upton for the positional value, but his strikeout numbers make me nervous. I'm afraid that his batting average is going to crash once his BABIP comes back down to Earth.

I guess I'll just jump on - we can make this the thread where Meph tells us who to keep. I'm in a 5 x 5 league with OBP replacing BA. We get to keep six players. Here are my options for keepers: Ryan Howard Ryan Braun Jose Reyes David Ortiz (we have a Util spot) BJ Upton Cole Hamels Roy Oswalt Rich Hill The first four are locks, but I need to pick two of Upton, Hamels, Hill and Oswalt. Any suggestions?

Teams don't sign guys to new contracts and then trade them. It's over. Bronson Arroyo begs to differ. Fine. I will re-phrase: "As a general rule, it is extremely rare for a team to sign a player to a new contract and then trade them. There is no reason for the Padres to trade Greene for anything the Cubs would reasonably offer. Hendry likes Ryan Theriot a lot and probably doesn't think he needs an upgrade at shortshop. I wish all of you would stop salivating over Khalil Greene. While this isn't as embarrassing as the Adam Dunn obsession, it's getting close." -

Just because he always says "duh" after his posts doesn't mean he knows anything. I don't think that is what led CM to believe that Meph knows things. Yes I know that duh.

Except for the fact in the Ted Lilly one that you can see the baseball in his hand behind the knife. I don't know about the first one but I'm be very, very surprised if the second picture is an actual ad. Are you serious? do you really think those ads are real?

I find that some Cubs fans just generally think our players have a ton of value. The "every minor leaguer is going to be great because I haven't personally witnessed them fail yet" sort of attitude.
