Exactly. Boozer is disappointing relative to his contract but he still is productive. If we amnesty him, we'll barely save any money and almost certainly get worse production from whoever replaces him.

Ugh and the phony morality wins out yet again. Are sponsors pulling out as well? It's a minor punishment but it still embellishes soxiety's general bratty attitude. Nothing fails to just not offend. Are you serious? If I'd intentionally throw a rock-hard baseball at someone on the street, even though I only meant to aim for their thigh, and even if I did no real damage, I'd be arrested. It's ok with you just because it happened on a baseball field? The person on the street would be honored by your showing of respect.

I don't think it's "cool", but it very clearly is old school. It's something they've always done and something all "old schoolers" want younger guys to do. And the whole event was finished when Hamels went up to bat and Zimmerman returned the favor. Why would anyone be up in arms about this? The whole thing was procedural and speaks a great deal to the kind of talent Harper is. Why do you take such great joy in seeing this particular procedure? If it's all about returning the favor and getting even, how about just never starting it in the first place? I think people can probably figure out Bryce Harper is really good without seeing him get drilled by a pitch.

I don't think intentionally hitting someone with a rock hard object at 93 mph is old-school or cool. It's dangerous. You could easily break a bone or alter someone's career. I've always been bothered by this.

Yes because bumping a ref who just called a technical foul on you, that is a smart decision. :good: There never should've been a T to begin with. He tripped over the ref's foot as he followed him on the "bump" He tripped on his way to bump the ref. He'd clearly stopped his momentum before he puffed his chest out and bumped the guy. He's going to get suspended.

No it was bad. The scout master got his boy scout, not an impact football player. How can you possibly know this, without him playing a down in the NFL. You don't need to see a guy play in nfl. He hardly impressed against that Boise schedule. Wait until the tweener sees nfl linemen. How much have you seen him play?

Some of the guys here have spent a lot of time reading the Walterfootball.com scouting reports. And several others saw a very extensive highlight package on McLellin that told them what they need to know.

Because people on message boards know more than NFL executives who have access to reams and reams of information, interviews, scouting reports, video analysis and other tools.

Yeah, I'm sure they were just winging it and didn't put in hundreds of hours of preparation. You probably know more than they do by reading some scouting reports online.
