  1. Detroit needs to fire Schwartz... this team just doesn't look interested in playing today which is great for the Bears...
  2. great rush up the middle by Izzy
  3. should be a fumble since he was clearly not throwing it, right?
  4. I was thinking the same thing. Peppers can play 5 tech and possibly 3-4 OLB on certain plays. The only question I have are where Melton/Paea/Wooten/etc fit in a 3-4? I think Melton could play the 3-4 DE... seems athletic enough and strong enough... Paea might be undersized for the nose though and Wootton wouldn't seem to be big enough for the DE either...
  5. Beckham could probably play third, right? maybe stick him there til Gyorko is ready?
  6. thanks sneaky, overlooked that... but still, impressive numbers
  7. and when you consider that (i'm pretty sure) some of those guys ahead of Vitters play in big time hitters parks, he looks even better
  8. Underwood Lake Candelario
  9. Of course, the ball still hits Jeffrey in the chest...
  10. Shields definitely interfered on that one
  11. Peppers only took one step after the pass... another blown call
  12. Johnson Vitters Underwood
  13. I went Johnson, Villanueva, Maples I think that Johnson can move quickly through the system and I feel that the biggest reason for his lack of hype last year was the injury he had but now seems to be over. Villanueva looks to be a good defensive 3B with at least decent power and no huge holes in his game that I am aware of. Maples is all about upside. If he can stay healthy and rack up some innings I am optimistic about his chances of being a good #3 or #2 given the expectations and evaluations we've seen from those who cover this sort of thing
  14. and fake rally over
  15. wonder if that's legit or covering up a possible concussion
  16. conceding the game I guess
  17. good grief we need a real slot receiver
  18. 6. Paniagua 7. Jackson 8. Johnson
  19. The teammate killed was also a teammate at the U of I... what a said situation. One life lost and another ruined
  20. I voted for Almora mostly because of the fact that his floor seems to be so high as well as a pretty good ceiling. While it would be great obviously to see him walk more, I think he has all the tools to put together a long career
