I don't know where they got that # from he's 71% on the year. He did shoot like 45-46 from the line @IL though so he can screw off. Either way, he's shooting about 93% today

Columbus sports radio was speculating USC type penalties over this, including vacated wins for the entire 2010 season (since Tressell knowingly started ineligible players). If the NCAA lets this stand, then they got off REALLY easy.

PSU always screws themselves in non-con. Either they cruise through a cupcake schedule, or, like this year, they schedule some power conference teams and then lose to all of them. Beating Maine and one of those power teams puts them at 18-11 instead of 16-13, and they would be in the discussion more. They get 11th seed IU in the first round, which is a "nothing to gain" win. They have to hope Wisconsin gets upset

I was surprised to hear the CBS guys talk about them as a legit bubble team. I thought they'd been getting underrepresented in the conversation, but I think they need a BTT Championship run to be viable. I think they clearly have a better resume than Alabama...for what it's worth. 9-9 Big Ten record 52 in Pomeroy 4 in Pomeroy Pyth. SoS Wins against MSU, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota x2 Close losses @OSU and @Purdue Bad loss: home vs. Maine I don't think the committee even gives them a sniff, but it would be fun to see Battle get a shot at the big dance.
