It should be the four most deserving teams. Disagree. That mentality made Wichita State a #1 seed last year.

It's not a matter of ignoring it. Is the committee's job to determine the four most deserving teams, or the four BEST teams? Based on the B1G title game, it's tough to argue that OSU isn't one of the four best teams in the country

How soon is the Big XII commissioner on the phone with Cincinnati, Virginia, etc. trying to get back up to 12 teams?

Your right. Body of work shouldn't matter. Apparently it doesn't, or else TCU wouldn't have jumped FSU last week. And either way body of work changes week to week. Beating Oklahoma when they were ranked #4 in the country looked better than where they ended up, etc.

You're right, the committee absolutely should not be releasing rankings each week, but ESPN would never allow them to keep the rankings hidden until the season is over. Imagine if the NCAA basketball committee started listing their #1 seeds once a week in January. Everything that this committee has done has been a joke so far.

There's no "jumping over" anybody. That's not how this works. TCU being 3rd last week has no bearing on this week.

OSU would default to the Rose Bowl right? or is the Rose one of the playoff sites?

Of course, they could just take OSU and leave TCU and Baylor out, saving them from having to choose between them

I think looking at it like "TCU falling from 3" or "OSU jumping past whoever" is the wrong way to look at it. That's the old poll/BCS mentality. This committee seems to be starting from scratch each week. Otherwise, you'd have to argue that with TCU at 3 and FSU at 4 last week, that they'd have had Miss St in and FSU out had Miss St won, right?
