  1. Except it won't, because they clearly don't care about winning and NOT signing Harper means they pocket more money. These losses don't even register with the Ricketts. The fans suffer and Tom makes money. Where's the schadenfreude?
  2. It really doesn't though Gonna have to agree with 17 Seconds here. It makes me feel a lot better. Whatever you have to tell yourself...
  3. i understand following the brewers and cardinals, but why do we need to keep track of their good players' numbers? like why would i want to know every time yelich hits a home run Just start a “crying about Yelich and Goldschmidt” thread
  4. He’s just eating them St. Louis-style
  5. All of these player extensions are perfect the ownership's plans. 1) Make free agency unbearable for the players 2) Make players think that team-friendly extensions are WAAAYY better than hitting the open market 3) PROFIT
  6. Let him turn into a pumpkin in Philly
  7. I move to rename this thread: Sammy Sofa was wrong about everything
  8. Can someone explain to me why someone who has been throwing warm up pitches needs to throw 8 more warm up pitches after a 400 foot jog (or, preferably, a 30 second bullpen cart ride)? I get it at the beginning of the inning, but these guys have just thrown at least a dozen pitches usually. If they aren't ready when you make the move, either don't bring them in or deal with the consequences. Only explanation I’ve heard is that the game mound feels different than the bullpen mound and they need some pitches to get s feel for it
  9. Now post their starting rotation... Now or after they Kluber and Bauer?
  10. Well hot damn, first time in years that my Wildcard picks weren't pure insanity
  11. Imagine being the favorites to win the AL Central with this opening day lineup: 1. Leonys Martin (CF) 2. Jose Ramirez (3B) 3. Tyler Naquin (RF) 4. Carlos Santana (1B) 5. Hanley Ramirez (DH) 6. Jake Bauers (LF) 7. Roberto Perez © 8. Brad Miller (2B) 9. Eric Stamets (SS) I get that Lindor is out, but the bottom half of that lineup is a crime scene
  12. Is it that hard to disconnect from the internet for a few hours? Just put your phone away
  13. Brace yourself for the standing ovation he’s getting for his first home AB
  14. This didn't impact next winter at all. deGrom didn't, sure, but if this is the new trend, we aren't going to see a ton of big name FA's most years
  15. MLB Network is going to show Bad News Bears re-runs 24/7 next winter. There will be nothing to talk about
  16. Rolling his ankle #obligatory
  17. that was fast [tweet] [/tweet] What the hell is happening
  18. Knuckle sinker? There's almost no spin on that ball
  19. Also, your lack of a catcher
  20. Jim Brown existed. As did Jerry Rice It was at least physically possible to stop those guys. Nobody did, but it wasn't because it was physically impossible as with Gronk. Not under today's rules, no, of course you couldn't. He is a physical freak, helped tremendously by rules that don't let you look at receivers funny without being flagged
  21. After the Rangers and Braves series
