Saban said this week that he’s going to continue to play both all year. The point is that Hurt could get two years as a starter if he red shirts this year, but only one if Saban insists on wasting him in mop up duty

    I'm not sure that they can suspend him without pay if he hasn't been actually charged with a crime. Yeah that might be a little hard to do, putting him on the restricted list is probably the thing to do I don't know MLB's rules, but the NFL does this all the time. The non-guaranteed contracts may have something to do with that, of course. Has the NBA suspended players without pay?
