  1. But paying players is wrong or something
  2. I will try to get to it this weekend. Thanks (as always) for putting this together
  3. Nah, you have a playoff spot locked up. The bottom half of the Central is non-competitive
  4. Yes, as David implied, Boog is great at breaking down advanced analytics. He's really good at showing how they truly apply in in-game situations. He just calls it nerd baseball, jokingly. He's like a version of Len that is amped up on coffee. I am happy with the booth. If that's the case than I'm happy with it, I thought you meant he was going all old timey baseball on the broadcast which I can't stand. Nah, I'm just talking about his voice
  5. that might be because you got used to len sounding like kermit the frog for 17 years. i'm pretty sure we almost unanimously HATED that at first. Maybe. Boog is very polished, while Len sounded like your next door neighbor. Boog sounds a bit like a younger version of Jon Miller...
  6. I’m sure he’ll grow on me, but Boog definitely has a “national broadcast” voice that doesn’t quite feel like a local announcer. I’m sure I’ll get over it
  7. But is he Rule V eligible?
  8. For whatever reason Boog doesn’t bother me, but Booger MacFarland does. Probably because Booger sucks
  9. Wait till I tell you who Ferndando Tatis Jr's dad is....
  10. ESPN got in a bidding war with Fox A bidding war for the human incarnation of YouTube comments. What a world
  11. Fox gave Skip Bayless a 4 year/$32 million contract for some reason
  12. Counterpoint: he's kind of a horsefeathers bag Awww, someone got rejected for an autograph. That's what you took from that? Go look up his tenure at OSU (where he was tied to Zach Smith) and what a douche he was as coach of Texas. I wouldn't want the autograph of the guy, and I don't know why you think I would
  13. Counterpoint: he's kind of a horsefeathers bag
  14. Yes, Columbus is currently a horsefeathers show. I wonder if they'll pull the plug on Torts. He has stayed loyal to his assistant coaches for years, even though their special teams have been bad for several seasons.
  15. Dude’s lucky to be alive
  16. Second tweet is deleted
  17. Someone needs to deep fake Happ's face onto Robert Patrick in Terminator 2
  18. Mets will still be paying Bobby Bonilla after Tatis’ deal is up
  19. Ownership is saving on baseball ops expenses, so that has me super pumped, being the fan of financial statements that I am. They wasted a lot of money on Trump, so...good?
  20. what part of "tank this horsefeathers" dont you understand The people who are serious about Darnold being a reclamation project aren't pro-tank. They have just been bludgeoned by the team for decades so they have no standards for the team
  21. The Stockholm Syndrome displayed in this thread is amazing. If you have even a notion of a thought of "sure, we can fix Sam Darnold" then you are too far gone to ever come back.
  22. That's like a 7th man contract in the NBA
  23. Why? He signed a mega-deal, blew out his arm, and never played again. He's a pretty good example of the risk of signing someone to a long term deal (though he is a pitcher, and screw pitchers) uh well first mike hampton pitched 5 seasons after signing that contract before blowing out his arm and missing two years from 33-34, he is a pitcher, and he signed that contract 21 years ago so even if he were a good comp i would think you'd pick someone more recent lol Maybe there's not a good comp, then. How old was Prince Fielder when he signed his deal?
  24. I mean, there's ALWAYS the risk that Tatis "Mike Hampton"s himself and is out of the game in two years, but yeah, I'm all for saying "horsefeathers it" to all the arbitration years and just locking up your obvious superstar mike hampton is such a weird name to bring up as your example for this lol Why? He signed a mega-deal, blew out his arm, and never played again. He's a pretty good example of the risk of signing someone to a long term deal (though he is a pitcher, and screw pitchers)
