  1. wrong. "Hanging around" won't cut it. The Cubs need to take the lead and keep it and not worry about whether or not they come back
  2. Probably not, but the team has to take the mental approach that they can. They should be looking at the team and saying "this is what we've got, let's go get them." If they take that approach, they should do well. If they sit around and say "well if only we can hang in there, maybe 4 or 5 games back until Wood and Prior return" they are doomed to fail. That is a poor attitude that doesn't ask players to strive for their best, plus it puts undue pressure on Wood and Prior to be the heroes when they return. They should just play to win, and when Wood, Prior and/or Miller return, treat it like Hendry just landed them a sweet arm in a trade.
  3. as long as no one gets hurt...

What a spectacularly bad trade that was for the Knicks. They got Curry, they still suck, they are like $1 jabillion over the cap, and the Bulls own two consecutive first rounders. Isaia Thomas is a Moran
  5. Who's Mark Buehrle?
  6. my guess is that Marshall would go down as they would rather he continue to get starts than waste away in the pen as a loogy
  7. Would it be available in the four-finger variety?
  8. This was tough. I'm 6'3" and 165 lbs soaking wet. I put CF, but I guess a pitcher would work too. If this was football I'd be a WR without a doubt.
  9. 29 is right for me. I know it's early, but I believe I made some mistakes in my choices: Fielder instead of Thome :x Adrian Beltre ](*,) Chipper Jones #-o Frank Thomas
  10. I, on the other hand, hate west coast games, especially when it's 3 straight night games that start at 10pm eastern. I'm lucky to catch 3 innings before I have to go to sleep.
  11. Bulls certainly look confident. Nocioni's emergence is huge. Hinrich, Gordon, Deng, Nocioni is a solid foundation to build this team on. If they can grab a quality big man in the off season, this team will be mean.
  12. No, they were on national TV against the Jordan-lead Wizards and got absolutely humilated.
  13. That was a really good game. Too bad the Bulls have no interior defense. When Brendan Haywood is owning the paint, you have a glaring problem that needs addressing this offseason. Paging Ben Wallace....
  14. Does he work at Chotszke's?
  15. Does anyone have a list of who yesterday's starting pitchers were? Could have a little something to do with it
  16. Scoring 2 or 3 runs won't cut it against most teams. The pitching has been bad in the 3 losses, but the offense was also bad in 2 of those 3. Stop sucking
  17. play like you got a pair....and no lineups with 4 bench players please
  18. and the Heat game is a national game on ABC Sunday afternoon
  19. what are opposing pitchers slugging against the Cubs this year?
  20. This is NOT the lineup that will make a great comeback sorry to say
  21. this is one of those "why am I a Cubs fan again?" sorta days
  22. two outs, but a ton of pitches. I like the approach early this season. No going up there hacking at the first two pitches
  23. Here's a novel idea today....how about Lee at cleanup? OMGWTFBBQ11!!1!! How bout: 1. Pierre CF 2. Hairston 2B 3. Pagan RF 4. Lee 1B 5. Murton LF 6. Perez 3B 7. Cedeno SS 8. Blanco C Okay, so that still makes me queasy but slightly less so.
  24. The Cubs are really only 1 game off of where they should be. When you score 6 runs (first loss) you expect to win. When you scratch together 2 runs (with the wind blowing out), you'll probably lose regardless of who is pitching for you. Either way, win dammit!
