I'm curious to see what it would take for Penn State to get an NIT bid. It's a total guess now that the NCAA controls the NIT this year, but the Nittany Lions are 12-11 (4-8) with 4 games left (@ Purdue, @ Indiana, Northwestern and @ Iowa). If they win 3 of 4 (finishing 15-12, 7-9) would that get them in? Would they still have to win a 1st round Big Ten Tourney game?

I know somebody who LOVES Kirk. Pax. I like Kirk a lot. I think he can be a franchise point guard. He just needs a bigger 2 guard so he doesn't have to always d the opponents best (and usually biggest) guard. Also a few consistent scoring options because he is ideally scoring option C or D. Agreed. Nothing's wrong with Kirk, but if the Bulls can get a legit piece of the puzzle for him, I'm with it. I think this team is 2 players away from being legit contenders. Hopefully, they can draft those 2 players this coming year. If not, I wouldn't mind packaging Hinrich and one of the top picks for a difference maker. It would be nice if they could sign/trade for a veteran difference maker for once.I'm tired of drafting and crossing my fingers

Not a bad idea. Overall, I'm pretty impressed that my boys are in 4th place. Might be closer to 3rd if I didn't brain freeze on a few days and left good scorers on the bench. I am now getting in the habit of setting my lineups for a full week ahead of time so I don't have to remember to do it every day.

I don't want my pitchers to add to their 200+ innings at the end of the season. Oh wait, I don't want them to be fatigued in September because they competed in March. Great idea Bud. You're a friggin' genius :roll: -
I think the US Basketball team getting humilated two years ago was a sweet can of Karma coming back on us for the Dream Team and all that nonsense. The last great US victory to me was the baseball win over Cuba. Guys like Ben Sheets and Jon Rauch won it when they were just minor leaguers.

I love this notion that once players hit 32 years old they suddenly fall apart and can't hit. Are there actual stat sets that prove this, or is this just "common baseball knowledge"?

I actually could not care less about the Olympics this year. I got my fill of fun winter sports when X-Games were on the past few weeks.

Since the breakup of the championship team, this team has lacked the "go-to" superstar. Jalen Rose failed, Crawford was a bust, Curry was too slow to develop, and free agents have spurned us time and time again. I'm not sure the "next big thing" is in this year's draft or not, but for now, the team is all role players and no star
