I didn't think anyone could look worse than Morelli down the stretch, but Stanton repeatedly threw the ball into triple coverage while being tackled in the 4th quarter. of COURSE those are getting picked. Tip of the cap to ND. They never gave up

I'm afraid this is what PSU is going to get with Morelli. Strong arm, horrible decision maker. He threw over guys, behind them, into the ground, and then watched two receivers the whole way down the field, making for easy defensive reads and picks. I'm sorta maddest about that last pick/TD, as it blew the spread. PSU had the points until that last pick

Will Pitt be keeping Altoona as well? yes, so the Pittsburgh Short-A and AA teams will be just 42 miles apart. They are both owned by the same owners group I assume that's a deliberate attempt to get more central PA residents emotionally invested in the Pirates young players, who are going to continually account for a significant portion of the roster. yes, and give them two chances to watch their progress in person. I'm excited because, despite the old Short-A Pittsburgh affiliate (Williamsport) sucking this year, they have won the NYPL twice in the past 5 years. Might get a better team. Plus, the Pirates are far less aggressive about player promotion, meaning we're more likely to see next year's top draft picks stay in State College all summer, whereas any good player on the team last year shot right up to Quad Cities

So, looks like the Yankees are pulling out of Columbus and moving to Scranton-Wilkes Barre. Washington is moving in to Columbus, but I haven't heard where Philly is heading. I haven't looked up the history, but seems like the Yankee/Columbus and Philly/S-WB relationships have been around for a while. Wonder how those local fans will react

I'm very happy to announce that my State College Spikes will not be renewing their player development contract with the Cardinals and will likely affiliate with the Pirates next season. I can feel much better about myself as a fan now

Oh Jeebus no! He makes Bush look like a bleeding-heart liberal hippie in comparison. Blackwell is evil to the core. He even scares some GOP members with how conservative he is. A black candidate for governor who wants to abolish welfare? An ordained pastor who would close the already narrow gap between church and state? Never mind that he completely rigged the Ohio election results in 2004. Personally, I don't think the country is ready to elect a woman president yet. Despite the criticisms of Bush (and he's getting them from most everybody these days), I think that even some democrats wouldn't want to put a woman in the Oval Office during war time. I'm not saying it's right, just a hunch. Sen. Clinton has WAY too many skeletons in her closet, and though the GOP has already brought most to the public already (Whitewater, etc.) they would launch a smear campaign of historic proportions against her if she got on the ticket. I really hope the Democrats are smart enough not to go that route.

so sad. Kerry was so good for the 1994 undefeated PSU team, but he's now bounced from Carolina to New York to Oakland to Tennessee, all with moderate to no success. Sigh.

Or as expensive. What I like about Theriot is that he appears to be an overachiever, like Eckstein or Freel. With all the underachieving we've seen around here, it's great to see. And hey, calling Rich Hill a worthless AAAA LOOGY worked wonders, right? If Theriot can overachieve his way to a 40/40 season next year, I'll eat my words

Penn State's chances of getting revenge on Michigan (for the last play loss last year in Ann Arbor) are looking slim. Passing game needs to get it together an fast. I have no hope at OSU whatsoever.
