  1. how does UCLA get to play it's first 4 games in California? How is that fair? Oh wait, I have them going to the finals in my bracket. Nevermind
  2. ESPN blows. I don't know how we can still be considered a mid-major after 6 straight tournament appearances, 2 Sweet 16 appearances, close to a 3rd Sweet 16 apperance a few years ago, and close to an Elite 8 apperance tonight. We've landed the two best recruiting class that we've ever seen for the next two years and if we can keep Lowery, I have all the faith in the world that Sweet 16 apperances should be the norm. I know I'm biased, but we've passed Gonzaga as the best non-BCS school. Memphis? ETA: Your point still stands, SIU can't be considered a scrappy mid-major, especially if Lowery stays. scrappy? no. mid-major? yes. "mid-major" has nothing to do with how well you play and everything to do with what conference you play in. As long as SIU plays in, what, the MVC? (seriously, I don't remember), they'll be a mid-major. Conversely, PSU and NWU will always be "power conference" teams no matter how much they suck
  3. OK. One more dribble and five more feet. How much does it increase the % of the shot? Anyway, game over, moving on. I rooting for UCLA. it makes it a 3 point shot
  4. A&M should have got one board. good point
  5. shot too soon
  6. now THIS is a ref screw job
  7. can't ask for two better games to start the night
  8. how can you give up that many offensive rebounds? man oh man
  9. wow, another point blank miss on a layup. unbelievable
  10. your guys played a heck of a game. I'd be proud if my school played that hard against KU. Oh wait, my school beat KU. But my team didnt' make it to the tourney, so you're still in better shape. If your team didn't make the routny you shouldn't be talking about them in the tourny thread. A bit hypocritical no? oh shut up Nice. Yet the mods tell the Illinois and Indiana fans to let it go. But you can take a shot at us, then attack a poster by telling them to shut up. if you can't tell the difference between one off the cuff remark about my school (in a post that was praising SIU) and your 100's of posts about IU and UofI (in several threads) I don't know what to tell you

  13. Not completely. i still don't believe in refs deciding games. it's easy to say refs are calling against your team when you're biased for your team. same goes with people saying announcers hate their team. they only hear the bad things about their team and not the other I want KU to win. So how am I being biased? all i'm saying is that if SIU loses, it will be due to missed layups, not the refs and there's no guarantee they lose if KU keeps shooting free throws like the Illini (sorry, couldn't help myself) So the game wouldn't be different if they waved off Julian Wright's dunk in the first half and got the goaltending call when Tatum was fouled in the second half? In such a close game, that could have been the difference - SIU isn't afforded the chances that KU was. different? sure, but a lot of the game would be different. you can't assume that every other play in the game would have been the same had those two calls not been made I didn't assume anything. i think you know what i'm saying
  14. good game. I was rooting for SIU, but KU was the winner in my bracket.

  16. falker traveled, but it doesn't matter
  17. Quick 2 and a foul. i agree
  18. so, quick 2 and foul, or shoot the 3?

  21. big shot. and there was a non-call on a possible charge that went SIU's way, so the refs are evening things out
  22. slipping away here salukis............
  23. ok, SIU won't win if they miss layups
  24. no one touched Rush at all. These refs have hosed SIU. but SIU has initiated a ton of contact on other plays with no call, so it balances out
  25. Not a chance in hell (thats where jack buck is btw) And Darryl Kile because he smoked weed. And Jim Edmonds (not yet, but soon) and willie mcgee, just cuz he's too ugly for heaven
