  1. since he was DFA'd, the A's have 10 days to trade him or release him. Offer them Jacque
  2. only thing I heard today was the potential Garnett to Boston scenario
  3. i'm about 99.9% positive RynoRules did not vote for me
  4. Jon is a pillar of NSBB, but I don't think I've seen a post from him in weeks

  10. wow, low voter turn out for this one
  11. useless without photographic evidence
  12. his HR derby in Atlanta was pretty amazing
  13. Take solace in the fact that all 3 Cubs/Sox games will be on WGN. those games are going to be a royal suck fest
  14. hope this doesn't go to OT...i have somewhere to be shortly after noon
  15. Scott Elarton
  16. MOST OF THE MINOR LEAGUERS THAT PEOPLE HERE THINK WILL SOLVE ALL THE CUBS' PROBLEMS
  17. Yeah, I feel that these things can be kind of arbitrary. Is this really arbitrary? Only 5 players have hit 600 or more HR's. Only 5 players had hit more than 599 before last night. I get that we like to keep track of things by tens but it really had no signifigance to me. If he passes Mays at 660, I think that's signifigant. exactly, the milestone was 587, which was when he passed Frank Robinson for 5th place all time. 600 is just another HR between 587 and 660
  18. I saw him hit 2 HR against the Marlins His 20 HR month of June in 1998. the whole HR chase with McGwire in 1998. I have fond memories of him, but much like Jordan on the Wizards, I don't give a fig about him anymore
  19. i didn't cheer. It was a meaningless home run on a terrible team
  20. good for him, I guess, but it's a pretty empty accomplishment, especially since he's doing it on a horrible team and only returned to baseball to reach this "milestone". Doesn't change how I felt about him in his glory days, nor does it feel how I feel about him now
  21. so the NIGHT game was on WGN but the DAY game is on CSN? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?
