Barrett, like him or not, was the best catcher in our system. Our best option is now Bowen (assuming he's coming our way) and that's sad. EPatt is a top prospect in our system. That goes without saying. So, if the rumors are true, we traded our top catcher (and not a bad one overall) and a top 5 prospect in our system for a good reliever and a backup catcher. A reliever that will maybe pitch 4-5 innings per week as opposed to a catcher who would play in 4-5 games per week, and a prospect that could have played second base for the next ten years. Need more exlplination now, or are you good? would that be the 2B prospect they've been trying in the OF? clearly someone in the Cubs system doesn't think he's a long term 2B
