  5. Must be the selective moderation :-s Nah, I just > you at bending the rules, I guess. You idiot. where did our ban smiley go? :banned:
  6. she would be moving from getting the pick of 5-star women's recruits to competing with Purdue and Notre Dame (not to mention a handful of other mid-major schools) in Indiana, not to mention Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Michigan, kentucky, and any # of other neighboring states.
  7. what possible motivation would she have? She'd be at a historic basketball school and be a ground breaker for woman in coaching a male team. Plus that, she's one of the greatest coaches in history. Yes I'm sure she can X and O fine in the men's game after some transition. But why would it be a good idea in any other facet? The media attention and scrutiny would be crazy. Recruiting would be awful. Do you think recruits who want to go to the NBA are going to trust her even though she's never sent anyone to the NBA or coached men for a single game? Or would they rather go play for any number of coaches who have gotten to the Sweet 16 or beyond and sent someone to the NBA? She's been to the Championship more times than any male coach in the NCAA. I'm sure a lot of kids would rather play for her than a lot of the bozo's that are out there. but Women's College Basketball has the worst parity of any sport I can think of. There are half a dozen teams each year that are light years ahead of the competition. Rarely do you see upsets in their tournament. She deserves tons of credit for getting Tennessee where it is, but her competition in recruiting in a power conference in men's basketball will be something I would worry about I'd love to see her get a shot. She is in a power conference right now and she can recruit, and obviously, coach. but her only real competition for recruits in the women's game are UConn, UNC, Duke, etc. she doesn't have much competition in the SEC outside of some good LSU teams
  8. I predict the Brewers are overconfident with their undefeated record.

  10. anti-Wood people would have scrutinized Piniella for NOT putting him into the game in the 9th inning if Howry or Wuertz had come in instead and given up 3 runs
  11. good first day for me, but at this point, I have Lilly and then no other pitchers going until the #1's second start. Bad for counting stats, good for WHIP.
  12. crazy game in Atlanta Pirates up by 3 going into the bottom of the 9th. Braves score one, then have runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 out. Someone (Chipper?) hits a routine fly ball to left field, that Jason Bay inexplicably lets drop about 6 feet to his left. Both runs score. Top of the 11th, Xavier Nady hits a 3 run bomb, but the Braves cut the lead back to 1 run before the Pirates finally put them away
  13. game is on DirecTV Channel 725 (725-1 for HD) and it's the Cubs feed
  14. what possible motivation would she have? She'd be at a historic basketball school and be a ground breaker for woman in coaching a male team. Plus that, she's one of the greatest coaches in history. and she's in a perfectly comfortable, familiar job with a perennial Final Four team.
  15. You're an idiot. Again, this should help you out: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Sarcasm Based on his overreactions in the other thread I'm not so sure it was sarcasm. it's okay, you're new here.
  16. i appreciate what he has done for my Fantasy team on day 1
