  1. Theriot needs to stop stealing bases. Because he doesn't actual steal them
  2. when will team's put a reverse shift on Theriot? His spray chart has to be pretty heavy towards right center
  3. Soriano K's on a pitch that almost hit him in the face
  4. Cubs agreed to move them to 1:20 to address neighborhood traffic concerns. I think they might have gotten extra night games in exchange, too. I like this 2:20 start! It's about time the world accepted EST. Chicago should be in EST. I like it getting dark at 9:45 in the summer Yeah, moving 300 or so miles west has added a lot of extra daylight to my days
  5. The question was never was if the Bears would pay Hester, the question is, what market do you use for him? You obviously CANNOT use the WR market to re-sign, cause Hester hasn't proven he is an NFL reciever, but offering him PR/KR is a severe insult. It wouldn't surprise me, if the two sides agree on a short extension (say 2 yrs), and if Hester shows he can be a WR, then they would renegotiate the contract to better suit the WR market. does/did PacMan Jones play WR or CB, or was he purely a returner?
  6. wow, that's a rocket down the line. Gonzalez can still hit
  7. more quality routes to balls in the OF
  8. wouldn't surprise me of marmol pitched today regardless of the situation. okay, maybe a little
  9. if they had any hope of signing him long term with a hometown discount, this probably throws that right out the window
  10. i guess i haven't. summary? charming
  11. I'll start using derogatory nicknames in the future
  12. i guess i haven't. summary? She had an axe to grind with Ryno and would rant against him all the time, ending with the classic: She hated Sandberg and Sosa and looooooved Grace. gotcha. that said, I can never assume that GoCubsGo! is referencing anything besides his own irrationality
  13. The 1.42 WHIP wasn't so bad for you?
  14. then he shouldn't be promoted. If you're going to burn an option on him, at least see what he's made of Samardzija's option was burned back in March. que? when he was added to the 40-man, i believe. He was added to the 40 man when he was signed. Every guy on the 40 man is on the active roster in spring training. if they don't break camp with the major league club or on the DL, they burn an option. Gotcha, I didn't know that.
  15. Didn't she swear up and down that the team was Canning's? She's been off on pretty much every fact she's given us about how the ownership situation will play out, but she comes coming back with a condescending tone because she knows the Red Sox groups combined. This isn't privleged information, everyone knows how the Red Sox deal went down. The fact that that worked for them(and the Nats I think), doesn't mean it will work now. Shockingly these tremendously rich people aren't all eager to dump a ton of money into something only to not be the guy who's even the head of the team. I just find it ironic that when someone posts information without a link/source, they get jumped on, but when RedIvyCub posts the source of her information, no one believes her. Maybe she will be wrong about the ownership situation, but she doesn't deserve to be driven away every time she speaks up.
  16. then he shouldn't be promoted. If you're going to burn an option on him, at least see what he's made of Samardzija's option was burned back in March. que?
  17. Lieber counts as like 2 1/2 ugly dudes
  18. then he shouldn't be promoted. If you're going to burn an option on him, at least see what he's made of
  19. if Reds management was that smart they never would have hired him to begin with
  20. at least MLB, for once, did the right thing and got rid of that rule soon after.
