I don't have stats to back it up, but I would guess that there are more game-attending Sox fans in the suburbs than there are in the city. If they had built the stadium just outside of the city, the season ticket sales would have been much higher. Their relatively low attendance has more to do with suburbanites not wanting to drive into that part of town than anything else
Do you have down syndrome? God damn, you're stupid. Guy was only 23 and this is the best you can come up with. RIP. you realize the joke was about vance not winning the contest, not about the guy dying. oh, you didn't realize that.
there are few baseball analysts I dislike more than Orel. he's absolutely terrible did we just become best friends? (I've never been more excited to see a new movie than I am about Step Brothers) I think Will Ferrell is much better off in supporting roles. Frank the Tank > * his other roles. that movie was terrible
Agreed to an extent, but having metra as the only public transportation out there would create some problems. They would sell a lot more tickets in the burbs than they would at 35th/Shields
barring injury, Ichiro would have easily surpassed 3000 hits had he played his whole career in the US. An 18 year career might have gotten him close to 4000
That's funny. I wish they'd move Santo and Hughes to TV to replace the morons Len & Bob. Joke, right? Not at all. I can't stand Len & Bob. you prefer the hard-hitting analysis of Ron Santo
Re Kahrl, yes. yep. in fact, he used to be on CLTV's call in shows all the time back in the day as Chris. I didn't even know he changed to Christina until years after he did it
FWIW, I did a lot of my design work for arguably the biggest Gay/Lesbian theatre company in the country (cue the "aren't they all gay?" joke, har har). A lot of that work was with gay teenagers. So yeah, call me a gay sympathizer or whatever.
two-faced? I think we should start a petition to protect people's right to make gay jokes about Cubs players. oh my god, please do. i can't wait to see how that turns out
