  1. I offered Laura to help again, and she said she's on the fence about it. We may have to do it without physical prizes this year....
  2. http://www.kenpom.com http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/bkt0809.htm
  3. Running and Defense doesn't require a franchise QB
  4. briefly? I think they're so complicated that Pomeroy and Sagarin couldn't even explain it briefly. :-))
  5. Prior stood on a block of ice?
  6. definitely some interesting choices for Wildcard. I'm still on the fence
  7. Group A: Ryan Howard Group B: Manny Ramirez, Mark Teixeira Group C: Josh Hamilton, Jason Bay, Carlos Lee Group D: Joey Votto, Justin Morneau, David Ortiz, Chipper Jones, Garrett Atkins Wildcard: PM'd we can change our Wildcard up until March 28, yeah?
  8. Official Bracket
  9. I watched a bit of the Cuba/Japan game, and there are at least 2 other Japanese hitters who have the exact same swing as Fukudome
  10. ESPNews crawl said that both Cutler and his parents have put their houses up for sale in Denver
  11. I'll do a few bracket contests this year, but I have no good basis for my picks. I didn't see a single minute of UConn, Pitt, Louisville or all of the Pac 10. I pretty much watched B10 games exclusively this year
  12. if PSU's first game is on ESPNU, I can't even watch it. GREAT
  13. don't know if it's official, but I see a bracket with PSU as a #2, facing George Mason in round 1
  14. The odds are good that last year was a much better year to pick the four #1s. Yeah Derwood that doesn't make sense. It never happened until last year, and this year there was so much debate over who would be #1 seeds, probably 6-7 teams had a legitimate claim for a 1 seed. 3 of the #1 seeds are in the same conference, so who knows how good they are against teams from other conferences who play different styles. One of the number 1 seeds lost one of their key players for the year and hasn't looked like the same team since. 3 of the 4 teams have taken turns losing immediately after becoming #1 in the polls. I think 2 of the number 2 seeds, Duke and Oklahoma are more talented than 2 of the number 1 seeds UConn and Louisville. This is actually a really poor year to just pick the four number 1's. I only meant that the rankings were extremely top heavy this year, with the 10-25 teams constantly in flux.
  15. The selection show is at 9 on ESPNU. I don't get ESPNU
  16. when does the NIT field get announced?
  17. it's as good a year as any to just pick the four #1's
  18. it's a frigging joke is what it is
  19. Agenda bingo
  20. well they barely ever play on the road during the regular season, so why start now?
  21. New Mexico UNLV Notre Dame Georgetown Cincinnati
  22. New Mexico UNLV
  23. so the NIT will have: Penn State Northwestern Kentucky Va Tech Florida St. Mary's Creighton SDSU who else
  24. only one screwed is me
