Too much of my team is totally screwed right now for me to catch up. Hamilton is hurt, Ortiz is off the juice, Votto is looney-tunes, Atkins is in AAA......so screwed -
seems like you have to overreact to get a penalty these days, especially in the finals. maybe I don't understand the nuances of the penalty calling, but guys get cross-checked in the back repeatedly every time the puck is stuck along the boards, and guys are slashing at each other constantly. there is also interference going on all the time. I guess it's like holding penalties in football; there is holding on every play, so only the really egregious holds are called?

well, even if you go with Durham at 2nd and Font at 3rd, it gets rid of the Scales/Blanco nonsense. Still not ideal, but also an improvement offensively. But people's gripe with Fontenot is that he sucks defensively at 3rd. Adding Durham doesn't help that situation at all. You put Durham at 2nd last night and Fontenot still gives up runs

The Cubs don't have good prospects. It's very possible that other GM's are simply telling Jim to take a hike when he calls. And let's stop with Durham. The man has played ZERO games at third in his career. Adding him is simply putting, what, the 7th or 8th second baseman on the 40-man roster? This team already has about 4 too many of those....

Leaving Fox in was the right move. Rhodes was ready in the pen if they brought in Fuku or Hoffpauir. I like Fox vs a righty much better than Fuku or Hoff against a lefty that has been dominant this season. Regardless of Lou not allowing Fuku to start vs leftys this year, hes hit them well this year. Plus Bradley was still on the bench wasnt he? no, Bradley had a 1 pitch out earlier in the game

there's no doubt that star players get star treatment, but personally, it only bothers me if they're playing against my team. When Wade or Bryant get crazy calls against the Bulls it drives me nuts. If they're playing the Nets or Grizzlies, I really couldn't care less.

as someone said earlier, this is the hockey equivalent of you rooting for the Cardinals to beat the Red Sox in the WS because you have a weird beef with Dustin Pedroia. the fact that you have a cache of video evidence about a hockey player you've never met is really creepy. no one in sports weighs on my mind as much as Crosby apparently weighs on yours
