How exactly do you "head for the mountains of Busch" when you live in the flat-as-a-board sprawl of Chicagoland? I guess you have to get pretty loaded for Northbrook to even feel hilly, let alone mountainous.

Haha, I did the same thing. I left after the top of the 1st and came back for this lovely Jayson Werth plate appearance. In all candor, I thought it would still be the bottom of the 1st when I came back.

Speaking of backup catchers, in the event that Blanco gets injured, I wonder if we couldn't squeeze one last half-season out of old Damian Miller. He's out there, and seemed to play really well for the Brewers (though maybe I only watched the games that he would win), so why not? Better than Koyie Hill.

I think they should at least relax the rules for kids, like you said. No sympathy for adults hounding players for autographs, but that's just one of those things I never got. -
There's a difference between rooting for the other team and conveying the excitement of the bottom of an extra inning. Chip was the one who got excited for the other team.
