This. Tunney is a gnat in a thunderstorm right now. The city wants the Cubs to stay and maximize the revenue for both sides without the city paying for it, and the path to that resolution is obvious right now. Tunney doesn't even count as a roadblock; he's just bitching because he can right now. While I agree, relying on Chicago politicians for anything is risky at best. That's pretty pointless hyperbole; the Cubs are a huge moneymaker for the city and this has to get done to keep that going and, ultimately, make even more money. Tunney has next to no influence/power when it comes to getting this accomplished. So why haven't they told him to [expletive] off yet?
