  1. Yes, we sure are awfully lucky to lose the most important player on our team, when his only reliable backup is out for the season, three days before the most important game of the season thus far, and a week before another very significant game. Oh, and Clemson's out-of-sight 3-point line in regulation sure was lucky for Carolina (admittedly, that had a lot to do with poor perimeter defense, but still). There are a lot of ways you could describe Carolina. "Pretty good," "inconsistent," "fun to watch," "poor on defense," "fast," these are all reasonable things to say. But I sure don't see what makes them so lucky. Also, I cannot wait to get the ball out of Quentin Thomas' hands. Even when the stat line looks okay, as it does in this most recent game, he's still terrible. Ty Lawson can't come back too soon. He is a Duke fan, waht do you expect? I love earlier when he talked about how they handled Wisconsin easily. Yeah that is what happens when Wiscy's point guard has two fouls in the first minute. But, I was assured that is because the super crafty and gritty coach K actually teaches his kids to draw fouls on the opposing players. You know coaching, the only true coach in America. Duke is not the only team that gets calls on their home court.

The Clemson game last night, took two overtimes even though you guys took 35 free throws and Clemson took 7. (i understand the hypocrisy of this statement). Clemson had a whole bunch of shots to win the game that rimmed out. First Clemson game- Clemson gambles and misses on the pass and Ellington makes a shot to win the game in the last 5 seconds in overtime Georgia Tech- They miss two open shots in the last 10 seconds that both would have won the game.
  3. Can somebody change the title back to the way it was? much more fun that way.
  4. We're talking about Dusty Baker here, he couldnt smell bad if it pooped on his face.
  5. So I am assuming he was banned or was it just a long suspension?
  6. K.C. Rivers shoots the ball with 4 seconds left to win the game, and it hits every part of the rim but does not go in, Carolina is so damn lucky.
  7. Clemson up 9 with 2 and a half to go, but its already back down to 5 with 2 mins to go. Clemson is last in the ACC at free-throw shooting, with their best guard shooting 38% there. UNC always finds a way to come back and this is really bugging me, that Clemson cannot hold on to a double digit lead with less than 5 to go without Lawson playing.
  8. I would have liked the Ravens D cooardinator, Rex Ryan or Singletary more. But, I really wish they would have waited to at least interview Spagnuolo. On a side note, do we have enough people for the mock draft on here.
  9. Your proposing Hendry tinkeling in Byrd's mouth? How would that help?
  10. I kind of agree with him too, but I dont feel like explaining why
  11. I don't know much about Smith, but the Jag defense has been absolutely incredible for years. They've got immense talent, but they're very physical and I like their schemes quit a bit. Hiring Smith may not be a sexy move, but I think it may turn out to be very good. What sucks is that the Jags just turned around and grabbed Greg Williams to replace him. They lost their DC to a HC position and probably still upgraded at the spot. :banghead: Mike Smith's awful, he runs too vanilla of a scheme. Their defense has been stellar the past several years, but that's mostly due to the talent of Henderson, Stroud, Darius, Peterson, etc. combined with a defensive-minded head coach. Williams is a significant upgrade. They're really right on the verge of being the 4th clear powerhouse in the AFC, or the whole league for that matter. Thats a big downer
  12. What makes you think we are vastly ovverrated? Because we do not have a really good post player? We played Carolina, Clemson, and Wisconsin whose strengths are all heavily on the inside and won all three of them and blew out Wisconsin. And Lance Thomas is starting to come on, he had 10 points against UNC.
  13. Just kidding look up the stats Washington is 5% worse, but I am almost positive Clemson was worse than that last year
  14. Wait till you watch the Clemson game tonight, they will blow your mind.
  15. Clemson facing a North Carolina team that does not have Ty Lawson, again. Clemson has never won at UNC, with something like 52 straight loses there. After needing a last second three from Wayne Ellington to beat Clemson the first time, I would not be surprised at all if Clemson broke the streak tonight.
  16. Sign me up
  17. I am not all that worried about our bench we have two pretty good bench bats in Murton and Ward, and ones a lefty and ones a righty (not matter how much easier life would be if he was a lefty), a good defensive outfielder with Fuld, a good defensive catcher in Blanco, and then Fontenot or Patterson.
  18. Breaking News from the guys at OH, Jim Hendry has to tinkel right now due to drinking a whole glass of Gatorade 2 hours ago.
  19. That's what she said.
  20. I was wondering how long it would be until the Geovany Soto thing started.
  21. When did he say that, I find that really funny for some reason.
