  1. Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana. - Townes Van Zandt
  2. His voice to me is the sound of a fall Saturday afternoon - reminds me of my college days. That said I'm really not a fan of him doing other sports.
  3. They got a phone call from an unidentified man begging them not to sign him. They aren't sure who it was, but they are saying he said "dude" a lot and compared Neifi to a striped bass.
  4. I heard the first couple hours of Dibbles blathering today but missed Ronny - I can only take so much of the show and Dibs was especially moronic today. ](*,)
  5. Someone should check with Pedro Gomez to see if he would be agreeable to working in Tampa as well....... ;)
  6. Don't forget the Phillies' all-red pajamas. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/baseball/mlb/features/1997/swinginas/1974/images/phillies.jpg Wow  I did forget those................nasty
  7. Not so fast my friend................ this is from a Yahoo article........ http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=AvMLWjWyljSEGa2gamZ1nZwRvLYF?slug=jp-redsbaker022108&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
  8. I think they should wear the blues for softball games only
  9. I disagree. Kauffman is a great place to watch a game, and while you disparage it by saying it feels like a minor league park I think that's part of it's charm. You don't feel like you're in a cookie-cutter megastaduim or a mall when you're there; it's a park for baseball and only baseball, and that's one of it's biggest strengths, in my opinion. Also don't forget that it's as good as it is despite coming from the era of the aforementioned mega-stadiums. It may not seem special when compared to today's billion-dollar stadiums with architectural significance, but when compared with its contemporaries it's an amazingly beautiful park. Anyway, count me in with IMB!... I'd love to watch a few Cubs games at the K every year. I agree as well - I saw Jon Leiber dominate the Royals there last year and it was a great experience. Not to mention that the stadium brat with the Boulevard Pale Ale mustard is the best brat I've ever had
  10. Anybody else like me picturing a rookie reporter from the Sun sitting in his car outside Bedards house all day eating donuts waiting to see if he leaves the house...
  11. Dear Lord, who cares how long a thread is? Especially when they end up inflated due to people pointlessly commenting on how long the thread is? I feel bad for all the people who bravely come to these threads, even if multiple thread pages apparently crashes their computer or slashes their tires or gives them cancer. I had to have a tooth filled the other day for the first time in years. I believe my tooth decay is a result of the Brian Roberts thread.
  12. Do steriods make your hair grow funny??
  13. I don't see how pretty much naming him the opening day starting CF at 23 years old is making it seem like they don't like him. I think Law could use a little more knowledge, but the Cubs let Pie languish on the bench last year and they've let it be know that they are at least looking for a platoon partner for him. However, according to his father Sean G. lost 25 pounds over the winter has been touching the high 90's on the gun. If he can get control of his pitches I think he can be more than a 4th starter. Colvin and Patterson I don't have much use for either since they moved Patterson from 2nd. If Colvin cannot handle CF his value also plummets. The funny thing is that If they traded Colvin, Patterson, Pie, and Cedeno they would be trading 3.5 centerfielders and .5 SS. Ronny has been working in the OF this Winter (not well if one wants to go by errors). That's what YOU say but how would Phil Rogers score it.............................................. :-k
  14. Ummm........... am I reading this on the internet :-k
  15. I saw him pitch this game last year http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/KCA/KCA200706090.shtml he dominated..................... of course it was against the Royals but he worked so fast I hardly had time to drink beer.....
  16. If I drink a lot of beer (and I do) I userp a lot..............
  17. Speaking of small testicles it at least takes more courage to admit anything at all than it does to have your lawyer make a denial for you.
  18. Who's Mark Buerhle? :D Love that
  19. We've got some decent hate going with the Pads - I don't see it as a problem. We can still hate him as much just not as often.
