  1. Can we put a moritorium on the Guzman lovefest until he is sufficiently stretched out to be a starting pitcher and putting up some good starts?
  2. Cardinal fans adore the clown. they like Eckstein too, says a lot about those guys What is wrong with liking Eckstein? He's overrated, but he still does a decent job in his role.
  3. Fine, but I like the odds of Lee hitting HR's better.
  4. In what way? more power. but he can't hit in 23 AB's? he's slumping. given time, he'll be okay. and the 534 he had last year?
  5. You mean like the power he didn't have last September when he had 4 HR's in 44 AB's? no, i mean the 0 HR's he has in his last 76 plate appearances. it's time to worry. Ryan Howard has hit 1 this year. I guess we should worry about him too. Lee will be fine. I don't think he is going to hit 40, but he will hit enough.
  6. I'm more concerned about who the 12th pitcher is going to be rather than who will be sent down.
  7. Edmonds goes to the opposite field so well... I hate the guy, but he can play.
  8. Hey crowd, that was curveball, he's not throwing at Barrett. Pay attention.
  9. What pitcher is going to get the call up to go to a 12-man staff? If they want to stretch out Guzman, it isn't going to be him yet.
  10. He's not necessarilly slow, that ball was scorched. Flyd has showed himself to be a decent baserunner this year.
  11. That was weird... This whole series has been weird.
  12. Guzman will have to pitch better than he did last night. I still think he would be best served as a reliever anyway. Not as many pitches, can throw harder, etc.
  13. He got me to ground out to second base when my college team played the Phillies A-ball team in Spring Training a few years back. I guess not striking out was an accomplishment. :D
  14. Yeah. He was good last year, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt so far this season.
  15. Interesting... I doubt he will be gone very long.
