  1. What the hell is Zambrano running through 2nd base for?
  2. Must be somewhat serious for them to take him out considering the situation they are in. We shall see.
  3. He's going to be a very good hitter. Same type of hitter as a Larry Walker type, minus the Coors inflated HR's.
  4. Allright, get some baserunners and get back in this thing.
  5. Zambrano's arm slot is getting lower and lower.
  6. Is it just out of your possibillity to maybe give either Hopper or Keppiger some credit? I'd love to have them in the CUbs lineup now they way they have been playing. Keppinger maybe, Hopper, lol. Seriously Norris Hopper is terrible. I am sure you are a big fan of Nyjer Morgan too. No, but I happen to somewhat know Norris Hopper pretty well and he deserves the chance he is getting right now. It sucks that he's doing it against the Cubs but I'm happy for him nontheless. Same goes for Keppinger, who I told you yesterday is a good player, and better away from GABP. I don't care if you know him. He is a bum who is playing way over his head and is probably going to help cost us making the playoffs. Then that is the Cubs fault, not Hopper's. Norris Hopper will not singlehandedly prevent the Cubs from making the playoffs. Zambrano issuing another leadoff walk might though.

  8. Same can be said for Lou regarding Z. It usually never ends well It comes down to whether or not you want Lilly/Z to make the majority of the starts the rest of the way or Marquis/Trachsel/Marshall combo.

  10. Hopper will find a way to score this run.
  11. I'm jealous of pitchers that can bunt.
  12. That was actually a pretty good pitch.
  13. haha... 24 outs to go....
  14. I always think of Herman Munster.
  15. The key will be to just shut them down from here on out. Harang is good, but if they can't score 2 runs they don't deserve to win anyway.
  16. The workaround? Yeah, what is the workaround? Me thinks he won't share... Its the old saying, "I know something you don't know." sorry, didn't mean to get everyone excited. I figured most people already knew about it anyway. Yeah, the workaround is just opening a bunch of new windows (tabs didn't work this year). Not that exciting, but it definitely works. I was just kidding. I hope many on here are able to get tix if they want them.

  18. That schedule is correct. Here is a link from MLB.com confirming it. TBS will cover the NLDS. Who will they have as broadcasting teams? http://mlb.mlb.com/news/press_releases/press_release.jsp?ymd=20070514&content_id=1964536&vkey=pr_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb
  19. Apologies if this has been posted. And apologies for actually posting it making you listen to it. http://www.cubworld.com/category/a_g
  20. the rule would make no bloody sense if that's the way it worked. what if a manager wants to talk to his pitcher to get an idea of how he's feeling, his confidence level, etc. before making the change? Not sure, but he's referring specifically to a double switch, not just a regular pitching change.
  21. No way, there has to be word tomorrow. They won't let this thing play out and then make a decision that could affect the playoffs at the end of the year.
  22. Let's just be happy Soto didn't win it with a HR or something. haha.
  23. Not even a possibility. Not even Bud Selig is going to overturn a game in a pennant race based on a nitpicky technicality. Lets hope so, just relaying the news.
  24. If, and its a big IF this is upheld, game would be picked up again in the 6th inning.
  25. Mackanin on press conference: Sarcastically says he;s happy for the fans, a pretty funny moment. Said he's not very happy. Said he didn't walk the bases loaded to give the pitcher some leeway with his pitches. Doesn't want to load the bases if he doesn't have to. Thinks the umpires are wrong. Manager must go directly to umpire and not cross line. Umpire said he could do that but Mackanin told him he thought he was wrong. Said Lou was wasting time to get his pitcher some time to warm up. Thought the umpires disregarded the rule.
