    Last night scared the crap out of me, any D-I team that can press is going to give the Hawks fits because we have a bunch of freshman and no PG. Iowa should beat The Citadel, because they aren't very good (although all I'm judging them off of is their record last year when they won about 5 games). The big thing is it's a road game and I don't think I have ever been comfortable with a road game. I could see them losing to Oakland easily though. I just hope we can get through this season with out a Louisiana-Monroe type loss.

    The Red Sox, Yankees, and Tigers apparently all have interest in her. Should be fun to see how she does. Haven't there been a couple of women who have played MiLB in the US?

    16 games, but yes. This team is definitely exciting. The jury is still out on whether they are actually good. They are good, they just have to finish games off in OT. Losing games because of a 4 on 4 goal or a SO doesn't mean you are a bad team. If you do it consistently enough, yes it does. debateable

    I'm a lefty (for batting at least) and I always liked the ball below my waist. But, isn't that primarily where you would want the ball anyways, especially if you're facing a MLB fastball?

    PMing you now... I got you. Thanks for the link, unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I didn't get it until after the game. I'm a bit nervous for the stupid circus trip, hopefully they can get some points on the road. Thank God OT/SO losses are worth a point, otherwise the record would not look so hot. This is a hell of a trip. But these guys have all been on road trips before. It's seven games? I'd be pleased with 4-2-1 or even 4-3. That'd be 8-9 points out of a possible 14. I would certainly take that. Especially on a 7 game road trip, with lots of game on the West coast against good teams.

    The Hawks have been involved in some really good hockey games lately. Too bad I'm not able to watch this one.

    That pretty much equates to the worst division in the NFL I guess. It really doesn't feel that way though. I guess that's because everyone in the division has a quality win (at least the Bears and Packers do, don't know about the Vikes.) I think this division is worse: 6-3 2-7 2-7 2-7 That's true, any division the Cardianls are running away with can't be that good.

    Bears just don't match up well against the Packers (although I'm not sure how we both ran well and stopped the run). Packers are @ Saints next week, Vikes @ Jags and Bears @ Rams so I fully expect the Bears to regain first place, unfortunatly for me.

    I still don't like Stanzi In his defense it is windy as Hell there. I love our defense, if we had any sort of a passing game we would be in contention for the national title. the breeze is not what's wrong. that defense is fun to watch. He has made some terrible decisions, I wish we had a good QB somewhere

    Man, if Iowa loses out on a New Year's Day bowl because of Purdue I am going to be pissed.

    As an Iowa fan I would be mixed about Iowa State in the Big Ten. For one thing ISU would probably become one of Iowa's yearly rivals and I personally prefer to play Wisconsin and Minnesota yearly (although there would be 12 teams in the Big Ten so who know how the scheduling would end up). I would enjoy Iowa State in the Big Ten because that would free up an extra nonconference game for Iowa, although it would be tough to find another "BCS team" to fill that spot like ISU is every year.

    When we figure that out then we can figure out why the Cubs can't win in the playoffs. It's just one of those weird things.
