Plus, with the way Zook recruits, there shouldn't be too many better teams to begin with. Recruiting only takes you so far. Zook can't develop talent for crap. Athletically there's just not that much of a difference at most positions between teams in BCS conferences. You're talking about teams that get maybe the top 5-10 players at their respective positions vs. teams that get the top 25 guys. It's not a huge gap overall. That was kind of my point. They should be really good but their coach is awful. I might not have expressed that too well though.

I thought the same thing. Also, if you are going to be on a network that only covers your sport twice a week, at least try to schedule compelling games on those nights i think they've done a decent job of that (wsh/bos, wsh/phi) but being stuck on two nights a week is terrible. especially considering that one of those nights is usually either monday or wednesday, and those days are terrible for hockey. I dont understand why versus doesnt open it up more anyway. Does Bullfighting really get higher ratings then hockey? I think Versus should also create an alternative to Sportscenter that has some more hockey coverage. Not really trying to compete with Sportscenter, but give an alternative sports highlight program. I am not saying to not throw in baseball, football, and basketball highlights and scores, but to make sure that at least every hockey game has highlights shown. Lastly do whatever it takes to get your network in every TV in this country without people having to pay extra. I would enjoy every part of this. Especially since I don't have Versus.

Illinois has one of the least fun offenses to watch. Do they ever get first downs?

Can't say I'm all that optimistic about Michigan hanging with Iowa tonight. The only thing Michigan has going for it is that Iowa's offense has been rather pedestrian so far this season with Stanzi throwing quite a few interceptions. Won't really matter though since Michigan's defense features 2 walk-on players and a cornerback position that has seen 3 players try to step up and win the job, but all fail miserably. Stanzi has probably given the other team as many touchdowns as the defense has allowed. That being said, I think Stanzi is improving. I'm still expecting a break out game from him soon. Tonight would be a good start (not for you of course).

The morning slate doesn't look that good. It's kind of sad when the only game that I kind of want to watch this morning is Iowa State (I'd like to see them beat Kansas even though it won't happen) PS Penn State's Iowa curse continues when Jake Christensen carves up PSU's D. Or not.

On the flip side I still think the Twins guy was safe at the plate on the sac fly in the 9th. Both would have been gutsy calls to make.

They also said something to the extent of "the Twins are just a team full of ball players". The question I have is, what do you call the players on other teams.

Because some OU fans think the team should basically never lose, ever. I never understood why people criticize OSU and Oklahoma or any school like that for not winning the big game. A: it's not easy to get to that point. You have to be a really, really good team to get to that point and B: It's incredibly hard to beat the number one team in the country multiple seasons.

It sucks to know that you aren't even close to being the best team on the field. Hopefully the off week and then playing the Lions (who I could easily see the Packers losing to) will turn things around.
