  1. Valbuena! Seems like every time he hits the ball he hits it hard.
  2. Might as well win again for the longest win streak of the year.
  3. I hope Valbuena can be good. I kind of like him. Nice play by Castro.
  4. I used to have an irrational hatred for Brad Ausmus.
  5. Last couple of innings of Wood's 20k game is on right now.
  6. Looks like it's not really supposed to rain after 2 so I'm guessing a delayed start though they'll play.
  7. With that I am done watching a Padres/Astros game.
  8. He's at 80 pitches or so. I wonder if they'll let him finish it if it gets to that point.
  9. I'm going to assume that Rizzo's 1.250 OPS is going to be the norm.
  10. A blown 3-1 lead would be a fun way for the Heat to go down I guess.
  11. A lot of stupid from the Thunder this game.
  12. This series has felt like the Eastern Conference Finals from last year.
  13. I've been watching the Sox feed. guessing the sound of crickets is strong. Hawk called Valbuena's homer like it was a routine ground ball to 2nd with no one on.
  14. Trading for Ramirez and signing Dempster (the first time) were my two favorite Hendry moves.
  15. Why the use of so many ellipsis?
  16. People who clearly don't understand statistics making comments and sharing opinions about stats is becoming one of the most annoying things in sports.
  17. I argued all year that the Bulls could beat the Heat. I didn't have that same confidence when it came to the Thunder.
  18. That's pretty amazing. For some reason I thought another 8 seed had won the Cup. I think one of the teams in the mid-aughts made the Finals as an 8 seed and lost. I want to say that was the Oilers. They're the closest team to win it as an 8 seed. Lost in 7 to the Hurricanes in '06.
  19. their offense was spectacularly bad for the first month and a half or whatever - it's still been pretty damn bad, although mccutcheon is awesome. they've been winning a lot of close games. half their pitchers are heavily outpitching their peripherals. their xFIP is like 3/4 of a run higher than their ERA. by pyth, they should be 8 games behind the cards; instead they're 2 games ahead. basically it's a lot of smoke and mirrors and unlikely that they'll stay in first, but i suppose crazier things have happened. So it's pretty much like when they were in first last year? I'm pulling for them though, then the Nationals and Orioles are all teams I'm hoping can make the playoffs this year. With the Cubs out of it I find it easy to pull for underdog teams in baseball.
  20. I'm not sure if this would have been more of a fun clinch (blowout at home) or if the way the Blackhawks won was better.
  21. I'm not sold on lawn bowling sucking. It looks like curling and curling is awesome.
