    You're the worst The 2008 Cubs would've won it I'm not implying this team is supposed to win, but it's still as painful as ever to watch. The 2008 Cubs did lose baseball games.

    3 of the 4 losses on this losing streak have been by 1 run. ugh Overall, exactly half of our losses this year have been by 2 runs or less (12 out of 24 losses) It sucks but the competitive games makes me think that with some moves they have a shot at being good next year.

    I remember Wood flipping out on the home plate ump in 04 after he got squeezed on a couple of calls and was taken out of the game. I think it was vs the Reds, it was awesome.

    He's gotten even worse hanging around with Hawk. Pretty much. Any time anything ever has to deal with the Cubs, Stone will find a way to take a shot at them. I'm still waiting for Castro's hitting to slow down as Stone claimed it would a few years ago. I imagine most of the love for Stone comes from people growing up with Harry and Steve. I get the familiarity thing, but he's not a good analyst at all.

    Not sure since he's not a play-by-play guy... then again neither is Hawk I guess Right, I meant color guy, but people think he's good at it for some reason.

    Why do so many people (not really here) think Stone is a great play by play guy? Every time I bitch about White Sox announcers everyone says Hawk is annoying but Stone is great. They both suck.

    If Barney wasn't tiny and Castro wasn't a huge prospect, I'd be in favor of the Cubs tackling players who are on second base from here on out.

    Man, I wish Rose didn't go down. I suppose Miami would look a hell of a lot better if Bosh were out there too though.

    I knew that he was pretty banged up. He had a horrible 2nd half and pathetically bad playoff series. I don't know how much that can be attributred to the plantar fasciitis or the shoulder injury, or whatever injuries he had, but I'm willing to excuse some of the poor play. His foot injury didn't make him pass the ball to Omer at the end of game 6. No, but the '6ers were in his face all series and he showed no ability to get by the defender whatsoever. With a healthy foot you would think he'd have much more quickness and ability to be more of a factor on offense. With a decent offense the Bulls win that series pretty easily and it doesn't come down to that final play. There were so many possessions where he just held the ball until there were a few seconds left on the clock. It's hard to score when that happens.

    Part of me wants to see a Heat vs Lakers final as it would be cool if Kobe and LeBron squared off at least once in their career though I couldn't really stand it if either team won the title.
