It was a bad call on a ball 4 that would have put 2 on no out in a frustrating game. It makes sense and maybe theres some hope in the clubhouse that ultra religious goodguy getting thrown out will spark them or something

the reality is that he's not terrible relative to other managers, he's just disappointingly close to them. i don't want him gone or anything, he just annoys me way more often than i thought he would. He manages a season well but I feel that every team is recognizing the importance of rest more and more. The way he seems to emphasize fun and stuff is good. His in game stuff is weird and seems to be getting weirder. He’s fine as a manager but if he wasn’t our manager I’m not sure it’s a huge loss (not that mangers mean all THAT much anyways)

That may be the most emotion I’ve ever heard from Pat on a call.

That has got to be such an amazing, indescribable feeling to do what he did. One that not many people get to ever feel. The “down 3 with 2 outs bottom of the 9th” grand slam is one every person who has played baseball has dreamed of I’m sure. Doing it in a playoff race ramps it up a notch too. Cool moment.

I don’t really understand how when it’s supposed to be completely obvious that the call needs to be overturned in order to be overturned that calls like that get overturned. That said he looked out but it wasn’t completely clear to me
