  1. Stoney was a wizard in my 9 year old brain. I still have a soft spot for him. I haven’t watched the Sox in awhile but he seems less douchy than he was years ago and he has a familiar voice. I dont mind him and the non-hawk guy who calls games
  2. This is fun for a game and series we had not shot to win
  3. When both the offense and pitching click at the same time in the playoffs because this whole season has been weird Joe Maddon sorcery as he’s just been magically resting people. It’s going to be awesome
  4. No it’s really a dumb sport most of the time Disagree. It’s a great sport most of the time. Just incredibly frustrating, especially when a part of a team underachieves. I love the damn game but it’s a weird, difficult game where the best teams don’t always win
  5. We will be up 3.5 at the end of the night
  6. It’s possible we clinch first place through this pile of dump stretch, today
  7. We such can still take a pretty solid division lead. Do that
  8. Brewers score in every first inning ever
  9. The rotation had a resurgence just as the offense went to horsefeathers. Go figure It really feels like nothing has lined up at all this season along those lines. I guess there were a few stretches where the offense and the bullpen seemed to be kicking ass together, but that's about it. It's one hell of a Frankenstein's monster of a 90+ win season. This does feel like the oddest good team ever
  10. I will take the Cubs winning by one or something and the Brewers losing the run differential game too I suppose
  11. I’m feeling a cubs win in a run differential game, Brewers will lose by one or something too. It’s gonna be a good day
  12. Nope. They can just lose until they play the brewers
  13. The slump will end eventually. Ian Happ did something for God’s sake. Dong this idiot and go on a hot streak
  14. Gutting out a division win at this point would be worth celebrating. Overcoming the injuries and this brutal stretch would be an accomplishment. I wish grit and determination and experience with adversity meant something in the playoffs
  15. One more out random pitcher guys come on
  16. Trash heap Bullpen of Doom reactivating the Cubs playoff bullpenning strategy
  17. I would give a lot of things for a 4-5 run inning
  18. Wake the horsefeathers up bats. If this is just an offensive slump and we go through one more decent offensive stretch we’ll win the division
  19. Everyone is dead and tired. Win anyways
  20. 1.5 game lead and closers are overrated
  21. I’m optimistic. I don’t know why but I feel good.
  22. horsefeathers it. I’m still calling a (sorta) unexpected, “this team just knows how to win” playoff run. It’ll be cool and fun and we will come back to these posts and make fun of each other forever
