  1. I'd like to see Ascanio stick around this time but I know he'll be sent down in about a week.
  2. I'm in as Pacman's Rain. I think I did bad last year. I'll change that.
  3. I hope Lou can get some pull and have Theriot and Fontenot on the roster. LSU up the middle in the 7th inning.
  4. Yes, this. I'd miss Gallagher but if parting with him means getting CC, then I am all for it. Of course, we have to sign Sabathia to an extension too.
  5. Someone mentioned Mickey Tettleton. I'm intrigued.
  6. I think the funniest part is the Royals traded for Pena because they thought he would be an upgrade over Angel Berroa. It's not like he was just in their system and they didn't have any other options.
  7. Incidentally, has anybody done anything less to become famous? Arnold Palmer is a golfer. I'm sure he has many hobbies.
  8. If we're going on Iced Teas, then here are the tops in no particular order: Arizona Sweet Tea Arizona Black and White Tea Arizona Lemon Tea Arizona Arnold Palmer Brisk Rasberry Tea Turkey Hill Peach Tea Snapple Peach Tea
  9. Cherry Coke > Cherry Pepsi Pepsi > Coke It's a paradox.
  10. New movie idea: The Number 8 starring Jim Carrey.
  11. I'm a big Lieber fan. I hope he gets to go out a winner.
  12. Hoff is an average hitter with average power who has above average plate discipline. Sounds like a Billy Beane player to me.
  13. A&W Root Beer
  14. They're only 4.5 games out. I'm not sure why people think they want to trade their best pitcher. I'm also not sure why we'd be willing to give up much of anything for a guy who has averaged 15 starts per season over the last four years. Beane was burned on the Giambi deal, and he hasn't let another player walk via FA since. If he doesn't think he can afford to resign him in the offseason, he'll be dealt, unless they're looking like strong WS contenders, and not just a borderline playoff team. Zito walked via FA. Obviously Beane hasn't gotten burned in that deal so far but he still let Zito walk. He had no intentions of tendering him as he wasn't good at the end. Not the same. And although anyone with half a brain could see Zito's pronounced decline, Beane still looks like a genius for that one. That was one of the best non-signings in recent memory.
  15. I doubt it, but I guess we'll have to see.
  16. Should we expect any better?
  17. I think Geovany Soto should roundhouse kick AJ in the face.
