  1. Huh. Obviously he's got some power and a little speed but that appears to be about it. Career minor leaguer then? He posted good numbers before last year. Probably won't ever be a star or starter, but he could turn into a decent bat off the bench if he turns it around.
  2. Wasn't the other one to like 60 something? It was over 100 I believe. It was just under 100. Like 97 or something. Unless this trade rumor picks up steam it might fall just short if you combine the two. But there was another thread that discussed Peavy and other potential acquisitions at the time like Bradley that was 20+ pages I believe if you choose to include that Yeah, combine all that and Peavy was longer. Not that it really matters.
  3. So help me God if that was one of the reasons for this trade...
  4. Heilman wasn't great last year but I'd take him in a heartbeat if it's just Cedeno and a middle-tier minor leaguer.
  5. So then Theriot leading off? Great.
  6. Interesting perspective - I had only been thinking of Heilman for our bullpen, but that could be true! I personally think Castillo's value today is more than Stevens' value, but I feel that Stevens will end up to be more valuable to a MLB team than Castillo would. If we were to acquire Heilman, I'd use him in a Peavy trade if the Pads want him. We still have Gaudin, but I'd want to keep one of Marshall/Olson/Heilman, preferably Marshall.
  7. Someone wanna tell me how sweet Parise's goal was?
  8. So yeah, I don't get VERSUS. Was this game as crazy as the score indicated?
  9. http://chicagocubsonline.com/archives/2009/01/cubsrumors12509.php If the Angels seriously make that offer, then I guess we're looking at other options. No way any other team would be able to beat that. Yes, yes, Peavy can block a trade but I think he said he'd go to the Angels.
  10. I didn't read previous pages so don't yell at me, but if I'm in charge of a team, can I be in another team's war room? If so, I want to be in the Titans war room with you, dew. Once we get all the teams covered, would we start this right away or wait til a bit closer to April. Didn't the last two years we hold it in March-ish?
  11. Also, why isn't Cedeno mentioned? Do the Padres not want him? Granted he's still young and talented, but with the signing of Miles and possible signing of Uribe mentioned in another thread, he's gotta go somewhere.
  12. Vitters is highly rated but hasn't shown much yet and is a few years away. Olson isn't much of a loss and neither is Stevens. Hart isn't that good, and we have Soto and other catchers in the system like Clevenger so losing Castillo doesn't hurt too much. Overall, we're not giving up too much outside of Vitters.
  13. .........what? If we sign Uribe I'll be pissed. I won't mind Hinske though, and he'll probably come cheap.
  14. Not a horrible signing, though I don't know how good he was last year.
  15. Ha, awesome.
  16. Yeah, Dierkes has done a pretty good job at making it legit. He posts links to all rumors, and they usually come from actual sources like beat writers for newspapers.
  17. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/features/column.aspx?sport=NFL&columnid=60&articleid=32104 Rotoworld's first mock draft
  18. I'll take the Vikings since dew already has the Titans. Though, that was basically a given.
  19. Can we hurry this up?
