  1. Haha, they said a 12-20 homer ceiling. We gotta great hitter on our hands.
  2. K's a lot, doesn't walk a lot. Hits for decent power but a lot of people seem to think he won't in the pros, sounds like he might have a hole in his swing or something Sounds like a Rob Deer or Russ Branyan, or worse, Jason Dubois. or Ryan Harvey or Tyler Colvin.
  3. How long will the first round last? I have work til 8.
  4. How bout bringing back Brendan Harris? He can play 2B, 3B and SS and is better than Miles. I don't think the Twins would ask for much.
  5. Yeah, given our history of drafting outfielders, I'd rather have one with good strike-zone discipline.
  6. He's raking. Great pickup for my fantasy team.
  7. Haha, that was pretty solid. Especially Fontenot.
  8. The As gave up Carlos Gonzalez, Greg Smith and Houston Street for Holliday this past offseason. I'd be surprised if Beane would take less than what he gave for Holliday. Do we have the pieces to match what the Rockies obtained? Hendry and Beane seem to have a good relationship. I think Hendry could pull off another one of his patented rabbit out of a hat trades. Remember, between the Nomar, Aramis, and Harden trades, the one guy we MIGHT end up missing one day is Gallagher. Hendry may throw foolish contracts at players, but hes good with trades when this time of year rolls around. Josh Donaldson's a long way away, and won't stick at catcher, but he could still do something. Donaldson could easily stick at C. I don't know, I'd much rather have Brendan Harris on the team than Aaron Miles.
  9. Behind Vitters, Cashner, and Samardzija definitely. After that he fits into the debate anywhere. I'd rank Jackson ahead of him (and I'd rank Jackson ahead of Cashner). As would I, but I'm trying to guess how BA looks at it. Higher ranked than Castillo and Clevenger I'd assume?
  10. How would Donaldson rank if he were still with us?
  11. He hasn't been great the past two years, but prior to signing with the Orioles I always thought he was underrated. He probably doesn't have much left though.
  12. Hart for Weiters. Done deal.
  13. Just watch the Cards grab him and he posts a 1.02 ERA the rest of the season.
  14. Wow, I think this caught a lot of people off guard. Depends what prospects they get in return but right now this is bad for the Pirates.
  15. To be dropping a 22-year-old former supplemental pick and top prospect must mean something else is up. Otherwise, the Cards are just dumb.
  16. Holliday would be nice, but he'd cost way too much.
  17. He's been so much better than I/ most of us anticipated. I keep waiting for him to fall back to earth, but he continues to dominate.
