  1. I honestly don't mind Theriot at that much. It's not a big deal to me. If Castro has a solid year at AA and AAA, then just let Theriot go next year or trade him during the year if that's necessary.
  2. If they can get him on a cheap one year deal, I'll be pretty pleased.
  3. He's a big health risk but wouldn't be a bad fourth OF if he can stay healthy. Big if, though.
  4. Those are all pretty terrible.
  5. If he's healthy and doesn't command a lot of money on a one-year deal, I'd be all for it. He could give us a .275/.330/.450 ish line off the bench, which isn't bad and better than Fuld. And he could play outfield and first base. Referring to an earlier post, he's not a great defender, but he's much better than Dye.
  6. Yeah, I remember long threads with photos and updates and stuff. Times have changed. And by times, I mean the team becoming less likable.
  7. He's just trying to keep his name in the headlines.
  8. I hope it's only because of his asking price and they'll consider him if he brings it down and is still available closer to to ST. That said, other teams will probably show more interest and give him a contract before then.
  9. Awesome. I can finalize the order on my Carlos Silva jersey.
  10. I saw this too late. Can I join dew in the Titans war room?
  11. Apparently, Hairston found out about the trade by reading MLBTR. Oh how the times have changed.
  12. Well, they're getting younger. Sort of.
  13. Probably. Had his shoulder scoped in October, and is "likely to miss most of April" OK. That's what I thought.
  14. In 193 career at bats at Arlington, Vlad has done this: .394 .471 .705 1.175 He ain't gonna post those numbers this season, but he lights up like a torch when he plays there. Good deal for both sides.
  15. Refresh my memory...Ted Lilly is starting the year on the DL?
  16. This was posted here like a year ago, IIRC.
  17. It's for less than $2 mil so it's not horrible. Still, not a great move for a team that's rebuilding and has some nice young outfielders.
  18. Penn State LB corps next year won't be great. All three starters from this year are now gone.
  19. Anyone remember when there were talks of us trading Murton for Byrd a few years back and everyone was angry? Good times.
  20. I guess this is what Huntington meant when he said he'd bargain search for players. Fail.
  21. Seriously? I can't think of one that "screwed" PSU. That penalty was BS, dude was trying to kill the clock. Should have been a delay of game on PSU. The last illegal motion penalty against PSU, that was obviously an offsides against LSU? Not that it mattered in the end, but it forced us to settle on a FG.
  22. Yeah I'll admit that was a dumb penalty, but I'm not complaining, seeing as how the refs screwed us over on a few calls too. That was an exciting game, though. Go Penn State!
