    That makes me sick. That's like people getting kicked out for refusing to remove their hats during the National Anthem. It really makes me angry that someone can get assaulted for not wanting to sing a silly song. Just because you don't sing it doesn't mean you are anti-American. If a person chooses to not participate in a song either because they plain don't want too or because they don't believe in it, that's the same freedom people have TO participate. That guy should definitely sue.

    Take out June 10th-July 7th and his ERA would be like 1.23 He was absolutely FILTHY today, though.

    Any Way You Want It? Seriously though, how funny would it be to steal the White Sox song for our own potential championship? It would only work if we actually one it, otherwise we'd look like huge morons. If we played them in the WS, it would take on 2003 tomahawk chop levels of epicness. Winner!

    Good points. Brings a VERY HYPOTHETICAL Q to mind. As a cubs fan, what would you prefer: Option 1- Cubs lose a hard fought series in the NLCS to either the Mets or the Phillies (say a well played 7 games). Option 2- Cubs win the NLCS and make it to the world series, but are swept by the White Sox. Make it to the World Series and lose. The Cubs are the best team in the NL (and possibly baseball) and nothing less than the World Series is going to make me happy.

    Err, that's actually the reverse of what you said. If they had taken a look at the stats, they'd know better than when they use the "eye test". I understand what you're saying... Marmol has only had 1 bad stretch that lasted for 3 weeks... they probably looked at his June/July numbers and figured he had TWO bad months. Really, he only struggled in mid June and early July and has been fire before and after that. I have watched every game this year and know that, if you just look at his numbers, you wouldn't.

    Eyre finishes the year with a sub 1.00 ERA and then gets out of a bases loaded NO OUT jam for Philly in game 7 of the NLCS against the Cubs.

    "Should be a good one. Let's get over this last loss. Time to untuck shirts." That last line made me LOL... I can't believe people in Wisconsin are actually playing along with that TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE gimmick.

    Maybe the guy from ESPN should have watched Marmol for the last month and seen he has a sub 1 ERA. ESPN is so dumb, they never use the eye test, all they do is look at numbers and become "experts" on a subject.
