    What an awful schedule for tonight other than Calgary/Vancouver. This is like throwaway night for the NHL.

    UConn needs to come back for my 3 win streak, pretty confident the Hockey game is going to be 6 or over... The Kings and Thrashers both have awful defense. Then 1 win tomorrow I get my 5 (and subsequent red star) and back to .500... woo!

    About time, good to see him finally get a real shot after his ridiculous monster year last year in AAA.

    Now I just hope he stays healthy. If he stops putting himself in a handicap match with refs and his manager, maybe he will 8-) This is an excellent point. And I just noticed I called them refs and almost called his manager his coach... boy too much hockey this off-season.

    Thanks for posting. 28 games left. .500 would put them at 98 points. That should lock down the 4th seed, barring a ridiculous run by any of the seven teams within 5 points of each other between 5th and 11th. 17 home games, 11 on the road. Only one game (Dallas on Saturday) west of Chicago. Tough road games at Boston and Montreal. Otherwise a whole lot of home cooking. I think something like 16-10-2 is likely. That would be fine. I'm still cautiously optimistic, but man I can't wait for some playoff hockey. I remember how excited I was in 2001-02, only to have that colossal offensive failure against the Blues. Last time they were in the playoffs I wasn't even old enough for some playoff peach fuzz (14), can't wait for my first playoff beard growing experience!

    Come on, this is the Hawks we're talking aboot. Unless Beach or Aliu were magically called up, I don't see anything going down. Only one I can see gooning it up would be Burish but he's too small to do any real damage.

    yea they got man handled. Don't know how that was the game of the week though. NBC should have shown NJ/SJ that game was actually a fun game to watch. nobody cares about those two teams. well some people do, but the flyers and rangers are both higher-profile. The Devils and the Sharks are damn near the best in each conference whereas the Rangers/Flyers have pretty much been brutal since the break. Flyers are .400 and the Rangers .250... gotta do the eye test, Devils/Sharks was the right call today and they blew it. Flyers are a great young team like the Hawks, but If I had a chance to watch a Hawks/Blues game on National TV or a Boston/Detroit game or any other combination of the top teams... it would be that. I know it's a home bias watching your team on national TV... but overall you gotta be smart and take the hot teams. NBC had a chance to do Sharks/Devils and PULLED it for NYR/PHIL. Oh well, was a nice shellacking to watch... but I would have rather watched the 6-5 shootout if it wasn't my team.

    I'm gonna miss him but: Patrick Sharp in his last 6 weeks has generated 10 points (6 goals 4 assists).

    CSN reporting MCL sprain, out 4-6 weeks. Skille or Kontiola will get the call.

    If he goes on IR, does that clear cap space? Not to get ahead of ourselves, but this would no doubt put pressure on Dale to add a front line guy. I'd think we'd most likely just call up Kontiola... could be wrong though.

    We won't know if Sharp is out for the season until tomorrow. Sure looked like ACL to me. Just as long as he's back for the playoffs.
