    This week is going to be huge for the Cubs... the Brewers/Cardinals will beat up on each other starting tomorrow and then we have a 4 game set against the Cardinals this weekend. Reds @ Phillies 7:05 p.m. Pirates @ Astros 8:05 p.m. Another note, Marquis going for his MLB leading 11th win against the Nationals.

Well.... now we all know what team the Pens play for... and it's definitely the "other team"... not that there's anything wrong with that... but it is what it is.     "Hawks are interested in signing Hossa" --"No way..." "Hawks and Hossa close to deal" --"No way..." "Hawks land Hossa for 12 years 5.2mil" --"WHAT THE [expletive]????" I was at work when I heard the news... and initially I couldn't believe it and I was ecstatic... I was probably like many of you and sent out a massive 50 person text to everyone even if they didn't know what a Hossa was... When it sunk in a bit I realized it was a definite upgrade but not as big as the "name" suggests given that we had Havlat last year. I am stoked about all three of our signings and I think all three are going to play a huge role in the Hawks CUP run of 09-10. Madden/Hossa both add the element of Veteran leadership... Madden with two Stanley Cup wins and Hossa... well, Hossa is a Veteran presence too. Hossa > Havlat Madden > Pahlsson And I see Kopecky with a breakout year... the Hawks only got better with these moves.

I love his potential and he is the guy I see having a breakout season with the Hawks) Kopecky puts that punk ass bitch Gauthier through the glass... glad someone did: Kopecky completely levels (cleanly) Mathieu Carle. Of course he is a little french crybaby embellisher who has to lay on the ice and play dead to draw a penalty...     This was on the cover of the Sports page today in the Tribune. Hawks brass think it will be worked out... if it's not... losing Versteeg and Barker would pretty much eff us realllllllly hard.

    Lilly has been pretty awesome this year. And I can't believe Lee is on pace for like 106 RBI after the brutal start he had.
